Mighty Mite Neck for Tele Guitar

About This Item

Shaped, inlaid, fretted and finished—feels and plays great! Hard rock maple finished in clear satin polyurethane, with an inlaid "skunk stripe" down the back.

The frets are nicely finished, and the slotted nut is shaped from PPS plastic with a flat bottom. Maple, Indian Rosewood, or Indian Laurel fretboard with dot inlays and side markers.

Indian Laurel (Terminalia elliptica) is a great alternative to rosewood that can be shipped worldwide. It has a similar dark brown appearance to Indian Rosewood, with a slightly more porous texture and occasional light colored grain lines.

Screwholes for attaching to the body are not drilled. Each neck has a single-action truss rod with a 4mm adjusting nut at the peghead. We recommend Allen Truss Rod Wrench for adjusting neck relief.

Peghead is drilled for 6-in-line tuning machines. 10mm-diameter holes fit sealed gear tuners with threaded peghead bushing. See all tuners.

More specifications:
Scale length 25-1/2" (647.70mm)
Width at nut 1-5/8" (41.28mm)
Width at 21st fret 2-3/16" (55.56mm)
Fretboard radius 9-1/2" (241.30mm)
Fretwire .045" high x .095" wide (1.14mm x 2.41mm)
Fret count 21
Approximate heel length 3-5/8" (92.07mm)
String post spread 4-11/16" (119.06mm)

Neck thickness (approximate; not including fret)

Ideally, the neck should just drop into the neck-pocket, or be a little snug. Don't force the neck into the pocket. If the body is unfinished, remember that the finish will make the neck pocket smaller with lacquer build up on the edge of the rout. Be sure to compensate for the finish buildup or the neck will be too tight after finishing.

The skunk stripe is the same wood as the fingerboard for necks with Indian Rosewood and Indian Laurel fingerboards. Necks with maple fingerboards have merbau wood skunk stripes.

Mighty neck...

This is my first build and first neck purchase. The neck was as described. The finish was good however a light spot with a dot on the fretboard. Minor issue....not affecting playability but should have been caught during quality control. I am not returning the neck as it's installed and also I'm in Canada. Frets seemed good. Some minor filing required and one or two frets to level. But overall a decent neck minus the fretboard mark.

Finish is fine, but the feel is superb. No fret buzz.
I changed the neck on a 50's tele classic vibes. I am very pleased with the result.
Really great neck.

I used to get all of my necks from overseas from Ebay. I ordered one of these just to see how good they were and I was blown away. Mighty Mite necks are just really good. They look like a Fender neck and are of a very high quality. These just look right on your Telecaster. And they perform great as well. This is a superb neck. 21 frets in a vintage style fret with a 9.5 radius. With the nice more modern C neck shape it really is the perfect neck for looks and for playability. Also, when I did have an issue with 1 neck(very minor flaw in finish) Nick from StewMac took care of me. These go on all of my Telecaster builds now. Having the real deal rosewood neck is what my customers want and these necks are the real deal neck. Fabulous

Beautiful neck

The Fender-licensed Mighty Mite neck is very nice and has very good frets. The skunk stripe is spot on and gives the neck a beautiful look. No rough edges, even in the tuner holes. The figuring on the solid-maple neck carries through and I look forward to placing it on my in-progress build.

Nice replacement neck for my Squier Tele. Fret ends had sprouted a bit so needed some work, but that is something I am able to do.

Beautiful Telecaster neck

I am very happy with the maple telecaster neck. This one looked as if it was slightly tinted and had much better fretwork than the two other strat necks I bought in the same transaction. The tele neck was nearly as good as my brand new MIJ Hybrid telecaster. These are Indonesia made necks are very nice and I can happily recommend them.

bought this neck to replace a crappy neck on a mim fender tele. fantastic neck but the high e was to close to the fret end but the customer wanted a bone nut so it didn't matter.string groves were spot on 2nd thru 6th but spacing was almost an 1/8th inch wider between 1st and 2nd.

Awesome neck!

I bought this neck to replace a cheap neck that had a slew of problems. All I had to do was polish the frets and this Mighty Mite made my guitar play better than it ever had. Neck was straight, frets were levelled perfectly and allowed for a super low action with zero buzz. Very happy I got it. I was about ready to give up on my tele parts caster but now it's my favourite guitar.
