I use these all the time.

I've had a set for several years and I use them all the time. I love these.

Now make one with a 5/16" thin wall deep socket and a 10" shaft that lets the T-handle clear the headstock for use on Gibson truss rod nuts!

Great but could be better

I have a similar criticism that someone else has on here about the chamfer, although I don't think they aren't appreciated. I only wish they were about half as deep as they are. Using the 10mm driver is a bit of a struggle because the machine nut heads are already small to begin with. So when loosening or tightening, I have to apply force in both directions to get a good solid and square grip. If I don't, I worry I might strip the nut head.

That being said, these are very nicely built. I'm particularly fond of the handles--because of the rubber and the shape, there's no chance I'm going to lose my grip. They're very solid, but with a slight fault. I might end up filing down the ends a tad to make up for the chamfer depth. I would still recommend these.

I have been using these for a few days now and the have made removing and installing output jacks and tuners much faster and easier (though I was using a crescent wrench before). I highly recommend these Nut Drivers.

Very good quality tool, but could be improved

I'm really happy with the quality of these nutdrivers and use them regularly. Unfortunately, they have a pretty big flaw. The sockets all have a lead-in chamfer. This very useful for centering the socket onto a deep nut or hex-head bolt in hard-to-see applications such as automotive work.

But as these are mainly going to be used on very slim nuts on things like pots, tuning machines and jacks, the chamfer just reduces the grip area. This makes it much more likely to slip off and damage the nut, or the finish of your guitar.

I'd love to see a 2.0 version of these with a flat-ground face. It would be much more effective.

Perfect for snugging tuner bushings

By

Verified Buyer

Almost every modern electric guitar that I service has threaded tuner bushings that have loosened over the years (Nevada is very dry, and causes wood to shrink, which also causes "fret sprout"). These t-handle wrenches are just right for snugging the bushings as part of a string change or any normal servicing.
