2-in-1 Precision + Notched Straightedge

About This Item

Our new 2-in-1 Precision Straightedge is the perfect tool for more accurate and faster setups. We took two of our most popular tools, the Precision Straightedge and the Precision Notched Straightedge and combined them to create the most accurate dual sided straightedge on the market—at an incredible value. You get two precise, professional, American-crafted tools for the price of one.

We see many different straightedges come on the market (most based on our original design), that sacrifice quality for price—but as you know, a straightedge is one tool where "good enough" simply isn't "good enough." Often .001" can make the difference between annoying buzzes and a perfectly setup guitar.

That's why you need a tool that has a dead flat edge you can depend on. For accurate setup work and building, it's essential to determine the flatness of your fingerboard and know with absolute confidence your frets are level.

One tool, two sides, endless uses
With our 2-in-1 Precision Straightedge you can instantly:

  • Check the flatness of your fingerboard
  • Check if frets are level
  • Quickly measure neck relief
  • Determine if truss rod adjustments are necessary
  • Locate problem areas
  • Find high frets
  • Determine if surfaces are flat

Whether you're building a new instrument, repairing a vintage heirloom, or tuning up your favorite daily player, this straightedge gives you the biggest bang for your buck possible.

Pick the model that is right for you!

Great tool

Don't settle for the cheap junk that sells for low prices. I bought 2 other straightedges that were a waste of money and time. Taught me a lesson I already knew , you get what you pay for. The contour makes this tool easy to hold onto and the edges are as straight as it gets. What good is a straightedge that isn't straight? Spend the money and get good quality tools, its true, your work is only as good as your tools.

I bought this for setting up and correcting issues found on friends, family and my own instruments. it takes the guess work out of the initial check...is the neck straight and flat?

Awesome tool

Takes the frets out of the equation. Getting the board flat is key to a great fret level job. I secure fender style necks to a board and use wedges to get it flat as possible.

This is a well made tool that does 2 jobs well. As either a norimal straight edge, or as a notched one, this tool does it's job well.

Must Have

This is a must have for precise leveling. The only thing I could not find is one of these notched to match the banjo fretboard scale. Since I bought a pre-slotted board for banjo here it would be nice to be able to get a matching tool. Straight edge works though.

Pretty Nice!

I have a few Martin guitars and occasionally do some set up for others. I didnt have a true straight edge. Its nice to finally have something I know is correct and dependable. I own a Yamaha also and the scale must be slightly different. It will work on it, as far as the frets fitting the slots, but barely. The only thing negative I have to say is you better be extremely careful with it around your instruments. It has some really sharp corners and edges that can damage something pretty easy if your not very careful with it. Its a nice new tool for my instrument work. I like it.
