Acoustic Bridge Bolts, Package of 4

About This Item

These custom bolts are handy for temporarily mounting a bridge for certain tasks, before the bridge is glued onto the guitar.

    Useful for:
  • Testing intonation
  • Testing string pull and soundboard arch
  • Testing the bridge thickness and saddle height
  • Resetting a neck to the correct alignment

Each bolt is drilled for a guitar string. The top edge is chamfered, and the bolt fits nicely into a bridge pin hole. The thumbnut is knurled to help make installation inside the guitar easy.

Brass, 8-32 thread, 1" (25.4mm) long with knurled thumbnut and washer.
Package of 4. Two required per bridge.

Great, but not for me...or my guitar rather!

The product itself is user friendly and makes sense, my guitar however is another story! I have a 3/4 Dean Electric Acoustic with a bridge that doesn't want to stay put! I have taken it off once and re glued it with Hide glue, but even after waiting the prescribed 48 + hours to restring it let loose as soon as I tuned the guitar. I though this would help, but alas, it lifted off even further when tuning. So I am looking at taking it completely off again and trying to sand and glue it again, then maybe some lighter strings...! Luckily this is not my main guitar anymore, but I play for our church worship team so bought a Ibanz which is really too big for me, and now I have a Big Baby Taylor which works great.

Just what I needed

My brother, while serving in Viet Nam, purchased a 12 string Kasuka for me in Okinawa and sent it states side in 1971. It's been in storage for a while because the bridge had lifted...not an expensive piece...laminate top...but it obviously has great sentimental value. After hydrating it for 3 weeks, I reset and glued the bridge and I'm using the bridge bolts as a permanent fix. This baby sounds sweet.

Great Design

Having trouble with High Pressure Laminate and keeping a flat bridge glued. These well designed bridge bolts work as advertised. Bridge is held securely in place. Worth the money.

They work

I have these permanently installed on a plywood acoustic-electric guitar that won't keep its bridge on. It's a Martin and they have repaired it under warranty numerous times, but I finally got tired of driving back and forth to the shop. It changes the acoustic timbre of the guitar a bit but I always play this ax plugged in, I don't hear any difference there. I reckon it will take me an extra 5 minutes every time I change the strings.

Bridge bolts

This set worked for what I needed: adjusting placement of a new bridge and saddle. I needed to enlarge two holes to move the bridge forward and back to test for intonation. These bolts did the trick. The thumb screws should be better made; larger, easier to grasp.

Really handy little items!

I recently completed my first bridge removal and re-gluing "surgery," and these little bolts really helped out at a key point in the process! I'm glad I found them, and will be using them every time I do one of these repairs in the future.

What a great tool to have and a great idea. Love these things especially for checking neck alignment when doing neck resets :)

Great for alignment and initial tuning.

I used these bolts to check alignment and position of the bridge and fingerboard before committing to glue. I was also able to string the guitar to check the initial action to plan the final tuning. Finally, I also used them to clamp the bridge when gluing it to the soundboard. The results were exceptional. My guitar has perfect alignment, intonation and action! A very elegant solution to a tricky process.

Excellent for repair, I've even used them as bridge pins on damaged guitars
