Makes it easy to put on a new pick guard

This is pure adhesive, not double sided tape, so it's basically a thin membrane bonding your new pickguard to the guitar's top. Installation is a breeze.

This Stuff Works Well

I am rehabilitating an old Harmony Sovereign guitar whose pickguard came off 30 years ago. I was reluctant to get into spreading glue around. These adhesive sheets are very easy to use and work well.

I used this product on three guitars. A 1934 Martin 0-17 reinstalled original tortoise pickguard. On two new built dreadnoughts one with an old Martin guard and a custom epoxy pickguard. It works great and is cleaner than any glue.

Worked just fine.

The pick guard on my Gibson Hummingbird started pealing up after too many days in a semi sleeper that changed temperature too much. I'm probably lucky the wood didn't split. But anywho, I stumbled on this adhesive sheet and ordered it. When it arrived, I was disappointed that to wasn't big enough to cover the whole pick guard. What to do? Well, not being entirely without ideas, I figured out that by using 2 or 3 of the left over pieces that were cut off from the main section, I could, in fact, cover the rest of the guard. I felt smarter than I am, and my Hummingbird is back to being the beautiful work of art it was originally. Thanks 3M and StewMac.

Great Customer Service

I bought a sheet of this 3m Double Sided Pickguard tape, but received one that didn’t come wrapped in plastic —and therefore the adhesive melted and was useless. I got on the phone w/ customer service and they quickly remedied the situation and received a new one wrapped in plastic w/out any hesitation. I wish they’d bring back the 3M DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE! That stuff worked great for many things and never caused issues on lacquered services. Stew Macs the best in the biz.

removed pick guard from vintage Gibson to repair cracks in the wood underneath. I was able to de-gunk the original pick guard and heated it to flatten it perfectly, used the adhesive sheet and reinstalled adding to my restoration.
