Titebond Original Wood Glue

About This Item

The luthier's favorite aliphatic resin glue, for joints that are stronger than the wood.

Water soluble, it cures overnight, sands easily, and resists thermoplastic "creep" better than ordinary white glues.

Shelf life is 12-24 months if stored in a cool, dry location. If the glue becomes thick and stringy in the bottle, this signifies that the glue is no longer usable.

Using three different glues: where and why?

Titebond or hide glue? Hot glue or bottled? Dan Erlewine uses three glues for this repair, and each has different properties. He explains why one glue can't cover all the bases. And he's created some pretty interesting cauls for clamping this job together while it dries!

Gerat to have the proper glue for the job

I bought this to repair the bridge of an old classic nylon string guitar, some 60 years plus old, made by a long gone Swedish luthier. Nothing in the local stores was good enough.

Thanks for offering this size

I don't use glue like I used to and I don't trust it if it stays on the shelf too long. I used to buy it by the gallon, but this will last me for a while.

It’s sticky and dries non sticky. It’s glue:) works well. No issues. If you want crayons look elsewhere, because this is glue.

I liked the smaller size of bottle

As a hobbyist luthier, I don’t build a lot. So a smaller bottle is just enough for me for one guitar. I will not bother about shelf life. A New guitar = a New bottle.

Amazing stuff

I broke my guitar neck completely in two pieces. I glued and clamped as directed and with a little sanding and refinishing; viola good as new!
