StewMac Bind-ALL Guitar Binding Glue

About This Item

Fast-setting glue for instrument bindings
For gluing plastic bindings to any tonewood. Bind-ALL is the first choice of major guitar manufacturers. Now available in a convenient tube for small shops.

Holds bindings in place while you work
Bind-ALL's high tackiness helps you position long strips of plastic binding. Bindings stay in place instead of slipping, giving you time to apply clamping bands or tape.

Use Bind-ALL for gluing all these bindings and trims:
  • ABS plastic
  • Celluloid nitrate
  • Butyrate
  • Vinyl

Permanent bond to all tonewoods
Creates a high-strength bond to all tonewoods, even oily hardwoods like rosewood and cocobolo. Sets in just two minutes; fully cures in 12 hours.

Good for binding repairs, too: keep a tube on hand to fix loose or missing bindings.

Bind-ALL is the same glue used by major manufacturers. StewMac is the only place you can get it in a handy dandy squeezable tube (it’s usually sold in glass jars or cans to be brushed on, which gets messy real fast).

WARNING! Contains solvents that will damage nitrocellulose lacquer and other finishes. Use with care around finished instruments.

Store at room temperature.

2.4 fl. oz. (71ml) tube.

I HATED this stuff... at first.

Tried to use it straight out of the tube and it was a DISASTER. The mouth of the tube is way too large for a product of this viscosity. Went back and read the reviews again, thinking that all these guys must be paid for their 5-star reviews. THEN, ran across one that suggested transferring the stuff to one of StewMac's little glue bottles and even thinning it with acetone. Since I had some of those little bottles I tried it and leaned - THAT is the secret. Now, I LOVE the stuff. Forget acetone bonding - this works ten times as well. So glad I didn't give up on it in the beginning.

Bought and used this to reattach a section of binding to the neck of a 52 Gibson hollow body electric. It worked exactly as needed.

Just the right tack and open time for plastic binding

Used plastic binding for the first time (i've always made wood bindings). This has the perfect tack and open time for installing plastic bindings.

This glue is amazing!

Sometimes in working with vintage instruments with binding/purfling issues, I have had to use dissimilar plastics due to matching the original B/W laminates. I have had to use ABS, Boltaron and celluloid all at one time and this glue works on all these materials. I used a whip-tip which I cut off to the diamter needed to control the flow. I even tested this glue on scrap plastics beforehand and discovered how well it really works!

Bought it so I can try out installing bindings. Based on reviews, this sounds pretty useful.

Best binding glue ever

I love that it gets tacky very quickly. I usually feel like I need 3 or 4 hands to glue binding, but with this stuff you press it down for a few seconds and it pretty much stays put.

Very good glue - not simple to use

I used this to apply plastic white binding on an archtop. The end result is very good, solid, permanent. Previous reviews stated the work time is 2min or LESS, I found it to be a bit less as my arch top is very old and dry. I put the binding on in one strip, full circumference, which meant more time to apply the glue.
Can not over state how runny this glue is along with the non-stop drip. I applied it straight out of the tube. I think the application would have been less sloppy with a smaller-longer tipped applicator. Stu Mac needs to include some kind of alternate tip for the tube.
