I would wait for this set a little before applying. My experience was that it tends to be runny initially. I will uses it again though.

I used this epoxy on some repairs and modification on my Fender Jazz Bass. It gave me ample time tow work before setting up. Once set I was able to sand it and finish without a trace. Good stuff

Treat the black like super glue when doing inlay or rosettes - I ruined a nice AAA S/M sitka top when the black bled through into the surrounding wood. Nice, silky top, too. I can't blame the glue because it works just fine and I should have known better. I recommend that after routing you seal the channels with two coats of thinned blonde shellac or whatever sealer you use, just like you would if you were going to use super glue.

I use this for it's adhesive consistency and properties. I am a blade-smith and this works very well securing scales(handles) to knives. Also works really nicely on metal components such as bolsters and guards.

I have already used it for several small repairs. It is the slow set type. If you mix up a tablespoon it cures a bit faster than the advertised time. I tinted epoxy with trans tint. Difficult to put a sufficiently small amount to get a light brown. But the epoxy works great.

I was looking for an epoxy to use with my stone carving to make small repairs or fill flaws in the stone with stone dust. This epoxy is clear and five minutes is the right amount of working time for my needs. The container allows for accuracy in mixing small amounts at a time. It seals easily and, importantly, without the risk of cross contamination. A great product!

I have always had good luck with Stew-Mac products and this does not disappoint. I have used this product before and it worked well.

I keep many grades of epoxy around for different jobs. I tend to use this for frets in worn out slots, repairing metal items, and filling. It is the perfect epoxy to use when you need something heavy bodied.

I noticed some comments about gelling in the bottle. I address this two different ways. If it is above 70 degrees outside, place the bottles in the sun for a half hour. Or put them in the sink and fill up the sink with hot tap water. Don't let it fill until the bottles topple over. They have to stand upright. Stop when you see the water line just about touch the epoxy level line in the bottle. Let warm for 10 minutes.

Warming the epoxy up will bring it back to its original fluid state.

For those that are using it in a spot that will be touched, and they don't like the somewhat tacky feel of the epoxy, sprinkle in some fumed silca. It will thicken up the epoxy a little, but gives it a rock hard dry feel.

I love this products. Especially black one is good for Ebony as like a fingerboard.
