A must have for lubricating nut slots

I own 2 old Japan twelve string acoustic guitars. One is 46 years old, the other is 52 years old. Literal nightmare with strings binding in cheap plastic nuts even after cutting the nut slots properly. This guitar grease to my surprise actually works... and nothing else did.
It looks like chap stick with graphite in it. Easy to get it in the slots with a toothpick...and it stays put. This saved me time, money and the aggravation of making new nuts.

I have a vintage Martin with the original tuners, and the A string was hard to adjust. The guitar grease fixed the problem right away.

Fender Bass

I saw Dan Erlewine’s video on sticky Fender Bass tuners, and bought some for my ‘74 Jazz Bass. Following Dans instructions, this stuff worked great, and worked exactly as he said it would! Including a small applicator would be a nice addition, and shipping from StewMac is always too pricey, but I feel it’s a very good product

Good but difficult

By

I put this in several guitars. It works good but is a little difficult to apply. It's not really sticky, so the tiny little dab you apply can just slip out of the nut slot before the sting goes in. Its very close to candle wax in consistency.

for more than nuts.

I use Guitar grease for nuts all the time. but it has another use in my little shop. I use it to lube my small taps (8-32) that I use for threading aluminum bridge gluing clamps. Much better than oil, that must be cleaned off with solvent. Another SM product I can believe in. Thanks Guys!

Followed Dan's pointers from the video and things worked as advertised.
