Great pins!

I really love those, I put them stock on all my guitars. I always but minimum 6 at the time so I can match my sets even better then what is already done.

Great finish also.

Bone bridge pins just ok

By

I got these bone bridge pins because they were suppose to make my Taylor guitar sound better. Was sorry I bought them because the ebony pins provided by Taylor still sounded better. I researched Youtube looking at video of people who did a comparison on bone pins vs ebony and I couldn't tell any difference, I suppose if you had a DB meter to measure the volume in a VERY sophisticated manner you might tell the difference, but not enough to pay $40 for. Since I had to file them down a few thousands of an inch to fit the holes I naturally felt I couldn't return them for a refund. SayLaVee.

Exactly What I Required

I purchased these pins as a result of accidentally shattering one of my bone pins that I had previously purchased for my Gibson Hummingbird. They were a perfect match in size and color. The quality is unsurpassed and hopefully these will outlast the earlier pins I purchased.

Your products are always "top notch"!

Consider Bone Bridge Pins

By

I bought this set of pins for my Martin OM-16. After I installed them, I noticed they weren't perfectly level like the previous plastic pins were.
Bone bridge pins make my guitar sound clearer and brighter, which I like. I'm now considering buying a set of black bone pins for my dreadnaught guitar.

Bone Bridge Pins

I use these as a standard on all my guitars. I do have to open the slots up to fit the wound strings and chipping can be created by the ball of the string if it is too tight . But this is the nature of the beast I suppose with the bone being so hard and we use them because they are hard and transfer vibration well.

The Standard

I feel like these are respected as the standard for bluegrass instruments. I have several old sets of pins, and lately I've been using some great StewMac Waverly tortoise plastic pins, but I've wanted to go back to bone, so I got these to start fresh. These actually have a lower "center of gravity" tone wise than the plastic ones, which can be tested by dropping them on a counter top. To me they give the guitar a nice high midrange emphasis and a slightly less sparkly sound than the others. I use unslotted pins on all my good acoustics.

Pins don't fit my '09 D-28 ... I had to enlarge the bridge holes.

Great looking pins. Highly polished natural bone, varying in color from cafe au lait to rich caramel.

They sound great, too. The guitar is even louder than before. Lots of sustain and clarity. Granted, the guitar already had most of that, but the pins certainly didn't hurt anything.

The pins fit nicely. All I did was file a 35° angle on the tips, so they don't get hung up on the ball end of the string.
