Underestimated!

I was surprised by the quality in the making of this piece and the quality of sound it produces. Just like how they were done way back then. Would compare these to Seymour Duncan’s Antiquity minus the ‘aged look’

I would recommend the Golden Age pickup. It sounds like a Telecaster pickup is supposed to sound like! A great price point.

Installed these along with the matching golden age controlls...... All i can say is i'm blown away
i've been looking for this sound for years and couldn't find it till now . I built my own custom telecowster and run it through my modified ampeg jet 2...... WOW . You cant go wrong with these if your looking for a "vintage sound".

height adjustment tubing no good

By

Verified Buyer

i installed these about 2 years ago,AWESOME TONE btw. But the tubing used for the height adjstment compression turns liquidy after time and sticks to screws. I put the original screws back in because they never had a problem, But great sounding pickups with originalish specs, bridge pole pieces are set for a wound 3rd(which I use for all my guitars. Even with the rotton rubber its still 5 star product!

High quality at a low price!

I put a set into a Squire Tele (with CST pots, Switchcraft jack, and an orange drop) and it is now indistinguishable from a US Tele in terms of sound. The build quality is excellent on both units. Stewmac matches the materials and winding specs of 50's Fender pickups so there is no reason they should not also match the sound. The price is right. There is simply NO reason to pay more.
