Kit sounds great!

The components are great quality, and the finished kit sounds great.
The 3-way switch has a shorter threading that would work best on a flat top. Not a lot of thread to grab when installed in my carved top. The pots are a bit on the shorter side too- not the shaft, but the threaded section. In the end, it all works great but not a millimeter to spare for my guitar.

The instructions aren't good, and the reson I gave it 4 stars. The issue is that the page has three different diagrams on it, so they are shrunk down very small. If Stew-Mac added a larger photo or a PDF online, it would be much clearer since there is currently no color coding to make it easier to follow where each lead starts and ends. Found a perfect diagram on Seymour Duncan's site, although the Stew-Mac tech support did their best to help explain, and followed up.

If you have the most basic knowlege of how to solder, you can easily replace or upgrade your controls to some nice feeling higher quality controls.

the kit is really complete, nothing missing, component looks good quality, fiting on my ibanez JS without maters (but not as initial wirring). only the jack don't fit because it's a spTcial long one on this guitar. So for this price, go for it !

Stew Mac - What a GREAT discovery!

The wiring kit was perfect. I did have to Dremal out a little space, but everything works well. When I had a tech question they were right on it. I'm very happy with the range and prices of their products.

It is nice to have everything in one kit, and not having to search all over for parts. Quality components at a good price!

Everything you need in one bag.
I think the diagram should be with more specific details about the wires

top notch and all the bits I needed

I was doing some work on a RG321, that I picked up for cheap and like many a cheap Ibanez the neck is great but the pickups need to be replaced. I went off got a Duncan Designed for the bridge and then a 59 for the neck (which is completely old school 1 wire and the shield and would not fit the Ibanez 5 way switch). I had a soldering gun but nothing else.

I ordered this kit from Stewmac and a week later it is in my hands and I am drilling a hole in this guitar. 30 minutes later and I am up and rocking out again! It was that easy to install and all the bits and pieces I needed in 1 kit. Awesome! Thanks again you delivered!... btw I added a killswitch for giggles as well and can't wait to repaint it!
