HH Options

I used this switch to replicate the standard Ibanez 5-way switching for HH guitars. It worked really well! This switch is much more robust than the standard Ibanez PCB switch, plus the switching action feels much more firm and solid. Highly recommended!

This has to be the easiest to use super 5-way switch on the market.

Good Switch

Bought this switch as a replacement for an intermittent Printed Circuit type switch used in an Ibanez AT10P (Strat style) guitar. The Super Switch fit perfectly and was easy to wire once I made a drawing using the Terminal Assignment diagram from the Product Instructions. This switch should give solid performance for many years to come.

Awesome for Strats and two pickup guitars.

Well made and phenomenal for custom wiring which I do a lot of. Will super charge your guitar if you are willing to do research and experimentation. It would sell a lot better if wiring schemes were included. Not everyone is an electrical engineer or good with a Rubics Cube.

Fantastic little switch

By

I bought this switch to mod out my Squier thinline tele. Took a little routing for depth but one expects that with this sort of project. I used a very custom wiring scheme (bridge pickup with Broadcaster blend, parallel, series, neck pickup, neck pickup with Broadcaster "dark" circuit) and it was more than up to the task.

The only reason this is not a 5-star review is a minor design issue where the inner common poles (closest to switch body)are all but touching the provided mounting screws when in place, so it is very easy to short to ground. This is easily solved by using shorter screws or bending the terminals parallel to the switch plate, but I didn't figure this out until spending hours checking and rechecking the wiring for a fault that wasn't there. Hopefully I can save a few folks the trouble.

Also, tele-style switch tips would be greatly appreciated.

No Trouble at all.

This switch fits in the Telecaster body, unlike other 5 pole switches intended for Strats. The quality seems identical to several other 4 pole switches from various sources, but this is a bit slimmer than the others. Works beautifully so far.

Super Switch Has Limits

I like the super switch a lot. It gives me a lot of wiring flexibility that I could not get otherwise. My only gripe is that, for some of my projects, I either need a switch that has more than 4 divisions, or I need a switch - just like the super switch (with 4 divisions) - that ALSO provides the same positions 2 and 4 as a standard Strat switch (in pos 2 shorts 1 & 2, in pos 4 shorts 4 & 5). I have one humbucker combination I'm trying to wire right now that 'stumped the Super Switch'. Still a good little switch, but I want to be able to hook each wire of two humbuckers to it's own division (total 8 wires). And....you have to admit, for the quality level, it is a little pricey.
