High quality switch worked great. Very fast reliable shipping and Stewmac stands behind their products.

You need jumpers

By

I couldn't figure out what was going on at first. I had nothing in the middle (bridge and neck) positions. After double and triple checking my wiring, I had to Google my problem and found an answer on Telecaster user group forum. This switch, physically, is the mirror image of the diagram provided as instructions from Stewmac. . (Confused? So was I)
After visual analysis and a tip from the forum I mentioned, I installed the jumpers and it worked. I can't for the like of me figure out why Stewmac failed to update their useless instruction sheet and diagram. I say it useless because of the confusion of the mirror image of the diangram as well as the complete omission of the necessary jumpers on the diagram.
To be fair, the switch itself seems to be bray robust and solid. My problem is with the documentation not keeping up with the design change,

I used this to replace the failed switch in a S2 Starla. This was a quick and easy install and the switch is a much higher quality as compared with the failed PRS switch.

Sometimes paying a little extra pays offs.

These switches are very well built and operate very smoothly.

Perfect 3-way switch!

Perfect 3-way switch! Way better than the generic inline switch my Jackson Soloist had.

Perfect factory replacment and then some!

My switch was cutting out in neck position, and I wanted a replacement that I wouldn't have to mess with for years. This switch was the same as the one it replaced, the wiring diagram made the six solder joints easy to get right, and the switch feels solid when I use it. Quality stuff!

Quality at the right price.

The lugs are offset compared to the Oak Grigsby, but ultimately, the same. Tele wiring goes to the same lugs even though they are offset one jump. Quality feel and reliability.

Top Hat Handle

By

The top hat handle does not fit on the switch. I destroyed the first switch trying to get it to slide down on the switch handle. I purchased a replacement switch which had the same problem. I ended up filing the switch handle until the top hat would slide down on it. I expect better quality from StewMac.
