250K vs. 500K
Generally, 500K-ohm pots are used with humbuckers and 250Ks are used with single-coil pickups. You can use any value you like, but a 250K will give a slightly warmer tone than a 500K pot. The 250K pot bleeds off some of the high frequencies to ground. A 1 Meg-ohm pot bleeds off even less than a 500K pot, so if you want to hear your guitar "wide open" you may want to try one.

1-meg pots are also ideal for piezo pickups, as the ultra high impedance piezo element is more adversely effected by conventional, lower-value pots than magnetic pickups.

We also have a full line of control pots for non-active circuitry. Extra mounting nuts and lock washers are also available.

Great all around

By

I used this switch to switch in/out a middle pickup on my tele. I didn't want a 5way because it's too fiddle-y.. I wanted a conventional 3way tele switch (hat I could slam around without fear of missing the desired position) with a pull switch for the strat-y middle pickup.
The switch seems very solid and well made and the pot is very easy to rotate. This is a big deal for me because I use the vol control (I used the pot/switch in the vol position) as a tremolo/swell effect with the back of my pinkie, and some pots are just too stiff when it comes to rotation with a pinkie..
Glad I ordered 3. One for each of my Teles and one for a replacement if need be.
Very pleased.

I bought this as a replacement for one of the pots on my guitar. Same brand and style of push pull but the shaft diameter is smaller. Old one required a 3/8 inch hole. New one is just over 1/4 inch. I made a small bushing to compensate and it works fine.

These were the only long shaft, push/pull 500k pots that I could find. But they work great and I'm glad to have them in my 2014 Gibson Les Paul Classic. Thanks to these pots I now have the Jimmy Page wiring in my guitar.
