Mighty Mite Vintage Amber Neck for Tele

About This Item

Shaped, inlaid, fretted and finished—Hard rock Maple with a thin, vintage tint finish. These necks look and play great!

Choose solid Maple, Indian Rosewood, or Indian Laurel fingerboard. All have a single-action truss rod and traditional "skunk stripe" down the back. The string nut is slotted and shaped from PPS plastic with a flat bottom.

  • Thin polyurethane finish
  • 22 frets
  • Maple, Indian Rosewood, or Indian Laurel fingerboard
  • Peghead-adjustable truss rod (for 4mm Allen wrench)
  • Traditional dot inlays
  • 10mm diameter pegholes
  • Without mounting holes, so you can drill to fit your body

Peghead is drilled for 6-in-line tuning machines. 10mm-diameter holes fit sealed gear tuners with threaded peghead bushing. See all tuners.

Neck thickness (approximate; not including fret)

Ideally, the neck should just drop into the neck-pocket, or be a little snug. Don't force the neck into the pocket. If the body is unfinished, remember that the finish will make the neck pocket smaller with lacquer build up on the edge of the rout. Be sure to compensate for the finish buildup or the neck will be too tight after finishing.

The skunk stripe is the same wood as the fingerboard for necks with Indian Rosewood and Indian Laurel fingerboards. Necks with maple fingerboards have merbau wood skunk stripes.

Great neck

Bought this neck to replace the stock neck on my Godin A6 ultra. Neck fit perfectly and the fret work and nut were perfect. Unbelievable value and would buy it again in a second.

Very nice replacement neck

By

I was very pleased at the quality of the neck. Very nice finish. Fret ends were smooth. A couple of the frets were every so slightly out of level. I could have probably just bolted it on and been happy but an easy leveling and polishing job and it was perfect.

Unexpected tiger flame

This is listed as a standard maple neck but shows distinct tiger striping throughout. It happens to go well with my build, but not everyone might be pleased with it.

Extremely Impressed with This Neck!

I ordered the Mighty Mite Vintage Amber Telecaster neck with the expectation of having to level, crown and dress the frets, as well as sand fit the neck/body. None of these needed to be done!

good neck, I reckon

The base is a little big to fit my Tele's pocket, but once I shave it down a little I'm sure it will be fine. Quality of work looks good. Wood is a nice tint, not too orange or some other odd color.

Quality Neck

I was very pleased with this Mighty Mite neck! Though mine needed a fret level and crown, the neck was near perfect and came ready to install and play! I've thoroughly enjoyed the feel of it on my first tele build.

Not amber enough

Beautiful new maple neck, beautiful lacquer finish. Straight. Nice frets. It just wasn't what I see in my mind when I picture "vintage amber". But still...highly recommended if you're looking for a high quality neck at an affordable price.

Nice Neck

By

I bought this to replace a neck on a Tele kit build that was too fat for me. It looks great, I love the amber tint, it's straight and plays really nice. It is much thinner than the one I replaced, so it did take some getting used to. It's quite narrow so doesn't have much room at the edges which makes it easy to push the high E off the neck. Just an adjustment I have to be aware of, but someone with big hands might not like it. I had it a while before installing it and after going through a Michigan winter it has a case of fret sprout going on. I don't know how typical that is, I've never dealt with replacement necks before. Overall, I like it, no regrets about buying it.

Nothing Better

I bought a tele neck in 1997 for a project. The neck on this guitar is still perfect to this day. You can’t get better than Stew MAC. Here is a photo of my project. All electronics came from stew Mac and pick guard.

Mighty Mite Tele neck

I ordered this neck on a Wednesday and it arrived the following Monday. This is amazing as I live in the South Island of New Zealand.
The neck fitted perfectly into the pocket and with about an hour’s adjustment to the action it was playing better than I hoped.

Great stuff Stew Mac and thanks for the wonderful catalogue
