About This Item

A special opportunity that won't last long
Every once in a while you run into a deal that's hard to say no to. We tripped into a one-time opportunity to buy the last remaining supply of Mighty Mite oversize paddle headstock necks for a fantastic price.

Of course we knew you'd want to share in the opportunity so we scooped them up. But be warned, we can't get more of these—when they're gone, they're gone!

Ready for your custom touches
These Licensed by Fender® Mighty Mite necks are just like the ones we've carried for years except they have a larger headstock for more custom possibilities. Each neck is shaped, inlaid, fretted and finished—they feel and play great!

They're made of traditional Rock Maple (Acer saccharum) and finished in clear satin polyurethane for a fast and modern feel. The "C" shaped profile is familiar and instantly comfortable to play. Each neck has the traditional inlaid Indian Rosewood (Dalbergia latifolia) "skunk stripe"

If you've never cut your own headstock shape before, don't worry! We've written up a short article to show you how to custom shape your headstock and get rocking fast.

Paddle is 6-11/16" (169.86mm) x 2-3/16 (55.56mm) at minimum.

Peghead is drilled for 6-in-line tuning machines. 10mm-diameter holes fit sealed gear tuners with threaded peghead bushing. See all tuners.

Stand out from the crowd with a custom headstock!

Ideally, the neck should just drop into the neck-pocket, or be a little snug. Don't force the neck into the pocket. If the body is unfinished, remember that the finish will make the neck pocket smaller with lacquer build up on the edge of the rout. Be sure to compensate for the finish buildup or the neck will be too tight after finishing.

Note: Due to the limited supply of these necks, some are marked "Stella" on the back of the headstock. This mark is small and likely to be trimmed off when you shape the headstock.

Not a bad neck but does need some work

Verified Buyer

I bought this neck as a refit on a Tele style guitar I had built with a mahogany back and ebony fretboard. Some comments:
1. While it looks like a one piece neck, it is actually a two piece - the fretboard is a second piece.
2. Frets need finishing on the ends
3. The headstock of the one I received had a tool burn on it. In trying to remove the burn I needed to sand it quite a bit, to the point of actually removing about 1/32” in the area where it was. This placed a slight dimple in the headstock, and to level it would have made the headstock too thin for the tuning pegs, so I decided to live with the dimple.
4. After profiling, I refinished with DEFT satin spray (which is a lacquer-based finish). This blended with the existing finish with no issues.
5. Just a reminder - the nut is plastic. I refitted mine with a Tusq nut.
