Good value and convenient size

The "for Gibson" is an appropriately-sized starter blank for lots of different guitars, mandolins, and basses, and I've used it to replace plastic nuts in several "budget" instruments, vintage and contemporary. Easy to work with, and much better sound and resilience than plastic. (For nicer instruments, perhaps worth upgrading to Tusq.)

Fender size micarta nut blank

I used this material to cut a nut for a tenor ukulele. Worked like a charm, and very easy to carve down and notch. I think this material contributes to the rich tone of the instrument, and I have used it to replace factory installed plastic nuts and saddles to good result.

Just the right material to finely tune to your needs and does an excellent job transferring tone.

Lately I've been practicing my fretting skills on second-hand Asian Squiers Many of them arrive with broken nuts. These are great replacements and fit nicely in the factory slots.

Good Nut

I bought this to replace a broken nut on an old Silvertone for a friend. Definitely easier to work with than bone. Much better tone than the plastic one it replaced. My friend could not believe the tonal difference.

Works good for practice making nuts is why I got a few blanks but not the great for actually using as a nut.. Doesn't sound as good as bone or the newer tusq thats for sure...
