StewMac Brush-on Super Glue

About This Item

Fixes finish chips fast! #20-X is our medium-viscosity clear instant adhesive in a special slow-curing brush-on version.

It's remarkably handy for touching up minor dings in guitar finishes—much faster than waiting for drop-filled lacquer to dry. It flows smoothly, the brush/cap gives you fine control for filling chips in the finish, and the bond is nearly as strong as our other super glues. 1-ounce bottle.

Important: The brush is designed only for this formulation, with special polyethylene bristles that resist hardening. Super Glue Accelerator should not be used.

To help prolong shelf life, store super glues in a cool dry place.

Warning! Bonds skin and eyes instantly. Use in a well ventilated area. Keep out of the reach of children.

If you need to use whip tips get the bottle with the pointed end.

It worked well to fill in an area the size of a dime. I like the brush and cap. This is better than the stuff at the hardware store.

Good stuff

Used this for a couple string hooks and worked great. Set my guitar on it’s side, used the tip of brush to apply a small dab under frets edge, left for an hour applied a second coat and left overnight. The consistency is just right, so it didn’t run.
Plan on using to fill a chip, so I’m glad to have this glue.

Great for gluing plastic bindings on fretboard using a trued mounted board to press against.

Unbelievably versatile

I use this glue almost daily. Does a great job as an adhesive for shims, brushes on evenly. As a final top coat for finishes and chip repairs, as a top coat insulator over shielding paint to prevent shorts, as a sealing layer over top of a ground wire soldered to shielding tape, holding it to a wiring cavity as an alternative to screwing in a ground lug due to space or screw angle restrictions.

I am already a fan of this super glue so when I saw the addition of a brush I wasted no time getting a bottle.I have to keep an eye on mine though because everyone in my house has discovered that bottle with the brush and someone is always after it.You can't go wrong with this and without the waste.Awesome product!

Disappointing

The glue quality is good, but the brush is poor.
I was unable to finish gluing binding to my fret board with this product.
I apply the glue in 1" sections.
The brush is now a solid chuck after only 3 small applications. Lots of glue left but the brush is worthless.
