StewMac Bind-ALL Guitar Binding Glue

About This Item

Fast-setting glue for instrument bindings
For gluing plastic bindings to any tonewood. Bind-ALL is the first choice of major guitar manufacturers. Now available in a convenient tube for small shops.

Holds bindings in place while you work
Bind-ALL's high tackiness helps you position long strips of plastic binding. Bindings stay in place instead of slipping, giving you time to apply clamping bands or tape.

Use Bind-ALL for gluing all these bindings and trims:
  • ABS plastic
  • Celluloid nitrate
  • Butyrate
  • Vinyl

Permanent bond to all tonewoods
Creates a high-strength bond to all tonewoods, even oily hardwoods like rosewood and cocobolo. Sets in just two minutes; fully cures in 12 hours.

Good for binding repairs, too: keep a tube on hand to fix loose or missing bindings.

Bind-ALL is the same glue used by major manufacturers. StewMac is the only place you can get it in a handy dandy squeezable tube (it’s usually sold in glass jars or cans to be brushed on, which gets messy real fast).

WARNING! Contains solvents that will damage nitrocellulose lacquer and other finishes. Use with care around finished instruments.

Store at room temperature.

2.4 fl. oz. (71ml) tube.

great wood/plastic binding glue

By

I am very delighted with this product. it' has great holding properties with the binding . AND I've used it to bond the plastic vol controls to the inner sound hole with great success. Stew mac went the extra mile for me when the original tube they sent was punctured in shipping and they went out of their way to ship a replacement immediately. thank you stewmac.. I'm a customer for life..

Bonds well but messy.

This is good to work with, binds a plastic binding very well but if you are going to dye or stain wood after binding, make sure you get ALL this WHITE glue off of the wood or you'll have a big problem with the wood not taking stain where ever you have even the smallest amount of glue left.

Love this glue

I installed my bindings with this glue. It provided some working time, but I did have to work fast. Once taped up and cured, it held tight all around and held up through scraping and sandings, and the excess was removable with no stains or damage to the wood.

It WORKS.

Used it to regule an OVATION top to it's rounded back and then the binding back into place. Clean was not bad on top and binding, but not perfect on the back. Still not bad.
Would use it again and will try it on some other projects.

Couldn't help it...first review since you opened in 1968!

Spectacular change in ease of binding. Long open time, just enough run but not too much. Dries hard. Does not harden in the tube or cover the spout. Just can't think of a better item, tried many other types of binding glue but this is so much better. Throw away your other glues, this is the one. Been ordering from you guys for 50+ years and this item got me to write a review. Sorry for the delay! Photo is an RB-12 copy

Great Stuff

The color is compatible and does a great job glueing. When expressing a dollop out into a container, it appears to be very viscous but really is quite tacky, something helpful when using a plastic pic to place the glue between loose binding and wood. However, that tackiness causes quite a bit of the glue to string up on the pic when you dip into the dollop and it must be 'sized down' on the pic, so have a second tool handy to trim down the glue amount. That is my only negative.

good product

used the glue to re-attach vinyl on my guitar case. Although the product was made to be used to glue binding. The adhesion was good, but removing any excess was difficult as It is recommended it needs to be scraped off. Sets up quickly so easy to keep parts in place. There is an odor so good ventilation is necessary.

Pretty amazing

This is pretty amazing stuff. Dries solid and clear. Quick setup time. The only concern is that it is a bit thin and runs VERY easily. Once dried, the only way to remove I've found is scraping and it attaches to just about every finish I've found so be careful when using for restoration work.
