Honduran Mahogany is the preferred wood for that warm familiar ukulele tone.
Quartersawn and bookmatched, this set includes tops and backs with matched sides. When joined, they are large enough for a soprano or tenor ukulele. Sides are unprofiled (rectangular) and unbent. Kiln-dried.
Top and back set dimensions
- Each half is approximately 5-1/4" x 13" (133mm x 330mm)
- Thickness-sanded to 1/8" (3.18mm)
Side set dimensions
- Each half is approximately 3-3/4" x 20" (95mm x 508mm)
- Thickness-sanded to 3/32" (2.38mm)
The Honduran Mahogany species is secure and plentiful, though international trade is restricted. The supply of our wood is from sustained yield forests and is CITES certified.
