Make your own fretless bass
Each is professionally finished in clear satin polyurethane, with an inlaid merbau "skunk stripe" down the back. The side dots are moved to the fret line locations, making it easier to know where you are if you normally play fretted basses. The installed PPS plastic nut has a flat bottom and is slotted and ready to play.
The screwholes for attaching to the body are not drilled—you can fit this neck to any mounting pattern you want. Each neck has a single-action truss rod with a 4mm adjusting nut at the peghead. We recommend Allen Truss Rod Wrenches for adjusting neck relief.
The peghead is drilled for 4-in-line tuning machines. The 11/16" diameter (18mm) holes fit many popular bass tuners. See all our tuners. and find the perfect set for you.

Ideally, the neck should just drop into the neck-pocket, or be a little snug. Don't force the neck into the pocket. If the body is unfinished, remember that the finish will make the neck pocket smaller with lacquer build up on the edge of the rout. Be sure to compensate for the finish buildup or the neck will be too tight after finishing.
