It does what it says on the tin. I would have purchased other tools here if the prices weren’t so extortionate.

Gauged Saws

These are really high quality saws. I've been involved with tools and purchases for business and personal. I did not know such saws existed. StewMac has things most craftsmen have never seen and though oriented toward the musical instrument field - I can see many fine applications for some of the items they have. But what an outlet for any possible music related item or tool for servicing that anyone could conceivably need

I need that size, I have tried sharp and strong saws for other jobs, and that helps.

Great tools for making nuts from scratch
I use all of these to get my slot depth in the neighborhood of where I want to be then use the high dollar files to fine tune

Happy to have them

I really haven't had a chance to use them but there have been many occasions when I wished I had something like these....and not necessarily what they are intended for. They are small enough that they helped me cut the square hole in the rim for the dowel on an open back banjo. I expect to use them for their intended use shortly

THIS TOOL SAVED THE DAY!

By

I bought this saw in the .025 size because I had a Squire Vintage Modified Stratocaster and the jerks in Indonesia that put this together thought it would be funny to put a full bead of Crazy Glue all the way across the nut slot when they slapped that piece of junk nut in. I mean who does that? Anyway after tapping this way and that it was easy to see that the nut was not going to come out quietly. I bought this and sawed down the center of the nut with ease. When I was almost to the bottom of the nut slot I took an end nipper/fret puller and gently rocked that nut back and forth and it came right out. I would have NEVER gotten that nut out without this. This saw literally saved the day!

I use this for cleaning fret slots as well as cutting nut slots.

Seem like great tools! High quality construction and great look.

Very aggressive blades!

I purchased these for slotting bone nuts. But the teeth are so aggressive, they grab the material and it is very difficult to make a smooth cut. Then extreme caution is needed to avoid going too deep.
