Good stuff but expensive for the hobbyist

The cord works very well, especially on TOM saddles and break angles where strings contact the edge of the bridge. Anything that helps the strings glide over these areas reduces breakage and helps with tuning stability. I just wish you sold all 4 sizes in a kit with amounts of each for the average enthusiast.

Very useful in a variety of ways

I used it to smooth rough spots on the string saddles/bridge of my Strat that were causing strings to break prematurely. Job made easy with the abrasive cord threaded through the trem block and up over the saddle in question. Excellent result. I am certain I will think of many other ways to use this stuff. Highly recommended and very reasonable in price considering it can be used over and over.

Great stuff

Fine tuning the nut is among the first things I do to every guitar. After filing the desired depth, each slot gets a quick pass with abrasive cord and a dab of StewMac Guitar Grease for smooth tuning. Seeing the results with a strobe tuner I can vouch for excellent results.

Nice to have but not necessary

I bought the .018 inch cord to polish up nut slots and bridge saddles after slotting them. They polish up nicely but nothing some sandpaper folded up can handle too. Nice to have but not a must have.

It's true, this is the best (and easiest) way to clean out burrs made by your nut slotting files. Buy all 4 sizes, you won't be sorry. Wish I would have bought these a long time ago.

These do not work well at all!

Buy the files instead
