Build an iconic neck, just like the original
The mandolins of the 1920s are still considered the best ever made, and customers continually want their timeless features on new builds. Now with our neck shaping templates you can finally build that iconic neck with pinpoint accuracy.
We've been meticulously measuring the necks of some of the most amazing and timeless instruments ever made to create these super-accurate shaping templates. Each template is laser cut from hard plastic for a lifetime of use in your shop.
Everything you need to make perfect reproductions of sought after necks. These templates have the exact contours of the back of the neck from the 1st, 4th, and 7th frets, and several heel shapes. We also measured the thickness of the neck from the bottom of the fretboard, and etched the measurements on the tool. You've got all the dimensions right in hand to get your neck exactly right.
More than just the neck profile, we also exactly copied the shape of the heel, heel front profile, and heel side profile. You can finally recreate every detail of these amazing necks exactly.
Each template has 6 laser-cut contours for extreme accuracy.
- Exact neck profile at the 1st, 4th, and 7th frets
- Neck thickness dimensions at the 1st, 4th, and 7th frets (to the bottom of the fretboard)
- Heel shape
- Heel front profile
- Heel side profile
If you're a custom builder, you'll love being able to offer customers neck profile choices that have been recognized and loved by generations of players.
