Blush Eraser

About This Item

Eliminates the white clouding that appears when moisture is trapped in a new finish. Also useful for finish touch-up and repair.

When you spray a finish in humid conditions, a "blushed" (whitened) surface can occur when moisture becomes trapped in the finish. As soon as the blush appears, use Aerosol Blush Eraser to reflow the surface and free the trapped moisture. It preserves the clarity of the finish, and helps "melt-in" overspray after spot finish repairs, too. For use with nitrocellulose lacquer finishes only.

13-ounce aerosol spray can.

Love this stuff!

I live in a high humidity area. After spraying lacquer on my lastest bass, you guessed it, it blushed...badly. Ordered this product, stewmac got it to me in like 2 days. Sprayed it on and WOOHOO no more blushing. Not only that, but I sprayed it on a bit heavy in a couple of places and it ran. Them runs flattened themselves right out. Thank you StewMac for carrying this stuff, worth every penny I paid!

Saved my butt and my finish.

OK, got a little antsy and continued to spray clear lacquer after the sun went down. I wound up with some white areas and went into panic mode. After some research, I found the Jet Spray Blush Eraser. Even after 6 days of dry time, I could actually watch the blush disappear! After sanding and polishing, I could find no evidence of the blush. What a life saver for those of us who get a little impatient!

Exactly what I needed

Did a fantastic job cleaning up the blush I got using shaker cans, and didn't wear through the finish like I thought it could. Reflowed the lacquer really well -- sprayed it while the guitar body was hanging and the blush was gone in seconds.

Hasy Lacquer Finish? You need this.

Humidity is a problem is my area of the country and even though I thought I was working on a dry day, one of my last coats of the day (just before sundown I guess the dew dropped) got moisture trapped in it. It was a Friday but I didn't panic. I ordered the Blush remover and had on Monday. Even after 4 days a nice dose of Blush Eraser did the trick and that guitar neck came out great. Now I have it on hand for the next time.

Very useful for touch-up work

Had a few mistakes on my first guitar finishing job. On StewMac's advice, I bought this initially to get rid of 'blushing' I accidentally created and thought the finish was ruined. It took care of the blushing easily and I also used it to clear up and even out some other later errors in tinted lacquer. It is great as a lacquer remover as well (as long as you are very careful) and gave me the chance for some 're-do's" and the guitar looked pretty good.

I think it's a must have on-hand in case you need to correct any lacquer runs, overspray or other issues.

I called Stewmac about my nitro finish turning a cloudy white and they told me it was blush. It's a problem in my area as we have fairly high humidity. I got this at their suggestion and it eliminated the blush in minutes. I actually watched it disappear! Highly recommended if you have this problem.

Awesome stuff

When I spray this, I go for a coat that looks like a "field of diamonds." Not wet, but not too dry. Works every time.

The humidity is pretty high where I work, and this has saved me more than a few times. A very quick spritz will make sure any blush will come out nice and easy without disturbing the finish that's already on there.

I do find it a little easier to use with the spraycan handles that Stewmac also sells. If I just use my fingertip I find it's easy to apply a little too much pressure and accidentally get a wet coat.

Watch out, will ruin your guitar

What this stuff does is not get the blush out, and make all the sweet work you did on your sunburst run together and make it look horrible.

I am new to all this and lost! Got moisture trapped in lacquer job and didn't know what to do. Not only did the staff recommend this amazing product, but took the time to explain why I had the issue, how to fix it, and how to avoid it in the future. I will buy all my products here!

Just go lightly

I made the mistake of putting this on too heavy and it wrinkled my lacquer clear coat, but that was my error. I used it lightly on other areas and it worked perfectly. Gets rid of blush and flows out what's there
