StewMac Bind-ALL Guitar Binding Glue

About This Item

Fast-setting glue for instrument bindings
For gluing plastic bindings to any tonewood. Bind-ALL is the first choice of major guitar manufacturers. Now available in a convenient tube for small shops.

Holds bindings in place while you work
Bind-ALL's high tackiness helps you position long strips of plastic binding. Bindings stay in place instead of slipping, giving you time to apply clamping bands or tape.

Use Bind-ALL for gluing all these bindings and trims:
  • ABS plastic
  • Celluloid nitrate
  • Butyrate
  • Vinyl

Permanent bond to all tonewoods
Creates a high-strength bond to all tonewoods, even oily hardwoods like rosewood and cocobolo. Sets in just two minutes; fully cures in 12 hours.

Good for binding repairs, too: keep a tube on hand to fix loose or missing bindings.

Bind-ALL is the same glue used by major manufacturers. StewMac is the only place you can get it in a handy dandy squeezable tube (it’s usually sold in glass jars or cans to be brushed on, which gets messy real fast).

WARNING! Contains solvents that will damage nitrocellulose lacquer and other finishes. Use with care around finished instruments.

Store at room temperature.

2.4 fl. oz. (71ml) tube.

A great binding glue...but.

The glue is as advertised but it has the consistency of cream and will flow out of the tube without any control. I suggest you use a cheap brush and a small cup. Do not try to control this flow on your bindings.

This glue really seemed to do the job on a binding repair. Good stuff.

This cement worked great with ABS binding

This binding cement was a piece of cake to use on ABS binding. The tube is tricky to deal with as noted in many of the reviews.

Product works well but be sure to clean up any squeeze out as it does not easily sand off. Works much better than Superglue.

Viscosity Alert

The stuff works great, though it’s thickness is not what you might expect. It is thinner so the tube should be held upright when opening and tipped slowly. Allow two days to gas out. Ends up easily sanded or scraped.

Essential for binding, nothing like it.

Unless you try to do a guitar side all at once you'll love this. It's only "fault" is it sets up so fast. You must be ready to go immediately all your tapes in place and quick. Or do a section at a time, to prevent drying out too fast. I think it's important to put it on just thin enough so you can barely see the white before it turns clear, because with the .020 binding I have seen some thinning of fingerboard binding if I put it on thick and didn't wait the 12 hrs.
You must use protection or it will run sideways. Your substrate should be level to minimize the runny nature. It is tricky getting it to flow but not shoot out of the tube, but with practice and slowly turning the tube over to the substrate, it worked for me. Great product.
