Good Book. Very thorough.

Very detailed on many ways to finish a guitar. My only critique would be to do some personal research on the type of equipment you need. For example, the book will tell you, you need a much higher powered compressor than you actually need for air brush/air gun work. You can get one that suits your needs for an affordable price. I think the idea in the book is to get a quality all around compressor for your shop in general. If that is the case then great advice but if you are a hobbyist and only need it for the paint, the horsepower and PSI needed to get the job done can be lower. Besides that, fantastic book full of great information!

Vintage Bursts

I haven't had the book long, but am mainly interested in the Vintage Gibson and Fender Bursts from the late 50's... The recipe's are all in there and the variations that the factories had at different stages/years.. Gonna be a great help in my new guitar making quest... Can't wait to update when I actually get some done....

I never did any guitar building and I bought this to help with the dulcimer build I'm doing. The info is very valuable for this build. And it is applicable to dulcimers as well as guitars.

Everything you need.

I've watched hours of Youtube videos on finishing guitars. I could have saved a lot of time and mistakes if I had bought this instead. There is a lot of information in this book. You can geek out on the history of guitar finishing if you want, or just skip to the recipes. If you're patient and read through the whole book it will pay off with results.

I bought this to have as a copy after already reading it as there is very useful detailed and specific information that is nice to have around for reference.
It's a very comprehensive guide and definitely worth picking up a copy.
