Grover Original Rotomatics (102 Series) 3+3 Tuners

About This Item

Popular since the '60s, Rotomatic tuners are now available in 2 gear ratios. For 3-left/3-right pegheads.

Rotomatic® full-size tuning machines feature large removable metal knobs with adjustable tension, cast gear housings and lifetime sealed lubrication. Sets of 6, for 3-left/3-right pegheads.

Mounting screws and threaded hex peghead bushings with washers are included. 10mm (13/32") diameter pegholes required.

For 6-in-line pegheads, see Grover Midsize and Mini tuning machines.

Installation Tips

Mounting screws: Pilot holes required. Installing delicate screws into hard wood requires great care and accuracy. We highly recommend the #1711 Depth-stop Drill Bit (No.50 bit) for the pilot hole before installing these screws. Lubricate the screw threads with cutting lubricant (also wax or a bar of soap) to reduce friction and help them thread properly.

Your basic quality tuner

By

These have for years been the choice when you need something of solid quality but not fancy. I bought these to replace the somewhat rough and sloppy ones on an inexpensive ($170) Epiphone SG that wouldn't stay in tune. Problem solved! Together with a good set of strings and a basic set-up, the Grovers turned an instrument that just wouldn't play right into something fun to play!

Fit perfectly no issues

My 2007 had gold colored tuners which I never liked. These fit perfectly, took about 30 minutes to change them out.

Smooth as butter

These are perfect. The gears are smooth and the finish is bright. The head stock required slight reaming to fit. Use a reamer and take your time.

Replaced Yamaha Tuners

I have a FG345II that I had upgraded with a bone bridge, nut, and Tusq bridge pins. Sounds pretty awesome for a not so high dollar guitar. Cheap Yamaha tuners would not stay in tune, and had dead spots in some of them. I hated to put more money in it but it was driving me nuts. These Grovers are the second set I have put on guitars and they are great. They were an easy replacement for the Yamaha tuners. I had to fill the screw holes that didnt match, but even that turned out great. Got the guitar out tonight after about a week and half, and its still dead in tune.Tuners work great. They were on sale, and Im glad I bought them. EXCELLENT!

1978 Alvarez Yari DY51 perfect replacement. Reused the larger washers of the old tuners. Jewelers philips head screwdriver on backside. Deep socket 10mm for nut on face of headstock. Guitar like new ‘cept for the old battlescars!

Making oild new again!

I purchased these for my Epi Casino I bought new in 1974. It's had trouble staying in tune for over 4 decades; now I wonder why I didn't do this sooner? The gold finish matches my gold Epi hardware perfectly and aside from a few extra holes on the back of the headstock, they look like they came from the factory. 18:1 ratio really helps stabilize things and they were over $20.00 cheaper than the Schallers. Well worth the money

Painless Install

I replaced the tuners on my Heritage H150 guitar which I bought back in 1991 with the Grover Original Rotomatics. This is first time I ever did any kind of work on any guitar and I was dreading it. Luckily everything went great! Maybe 30 minutes to remove the old tuners and drop in the new ones which fit perfectly. The guitar stays in tune and is fun to play again. Thanks!
