Diago Twistlock Secure Strap Buttons

About This Item

One piece—no moving parts to rattle, wear out, or lose
The Diago Twistlock is a simple and effective alternative to traditional ball and plunger strap lock systems. A straightforward design that works with any guitar strap.

Secured with a simple twist
Attach the strap to your guitar and give it a twist to lock it on. Your guitar won't fall off by accident, and the strap only comes off when you want it to.

  • Easy to use—one handed twist action removes or installs the strap
  • Replaces your standard strap button with no modification to your guitar

Twistlock's low profile fits in your hardshell case, and it's still comfortable on guitars like the Gibson® SG or 335 where the strap button is mounted on the heel of the neck.

Dimensions:
15/16" x 3/8" (23.81mm x 9.53mm)

Each set includes 2 CNC-machined steel Twistlock strap buttons, 2 felt washers, and 4 stainless steel screws in 2 lengths: 1" (25.40mm) and 1-1/2" (38.10mm).

Set of 2.

Outstanding Strap Buttons

By

Verified Buyer

In the past, I've had to hand-make strap buttons to do what these do....often with ugly results, as one might expect. These strap buttons are particularly effective for guitars that are ES or SG types with the button that comes in contact with your torso, and often gives way with detrimental results to machine heads or headstocks. Seriously nice, excellent retention, non-obtrusive, and they come in gold or nickel....how about other colors guys?

Great strap button. Very secure but works with any standard guitar strap.

Simple, solid and works great.

Almost perfect

These strap locks are a great idea but there is a slight problem if you are using a new or almost new strap. There is no way to get the strap on without the strap lock turning. The problem is there are too many slick surfaces next to each other. The button is slick chrome, then a felt washer next to a smooth finish on the guitar.

I solved the problem by grinding the strap button mounting surface with a grinding wheel. Next I replaced the felt washer with a fiber washer, the kind like that is used on a ceiling fan blade mounting screw. Now there is enough friction between the surfaces that the button will not turn.

Work great!

No moving parts or springs to break. Once you get used to how to put them on and take them off, they are easier than the regular st amp locks. Also no hardware left on your strap to inter fear with storing your strap in your case!

Very secure on my main bass

Replaced the strap buttons on my Birdsong C:Bass with a pair of chrome Diago Twistlocks. They look great and are ultra-secure. Even though I use a thick Levy's Leathers strap, it wasn't very difficult to thread the strap onto the buttons. That little scooped cutaway is the key to the innovative design.

Works like It Supposed To

I can’t seem to think why these wont stop working. Once you get the hang of twisting it on and off the trap will not come off.

In less than 2 minutes my old strap buttons were gone and these babies were in place! Super easy super grip. Thanks

Good idea

I like these but you need to do something other than a felt washer. The tend to spin with newer stiff strap and are hard to get on and off. A soft or well worn strap works best.

I have used them all, and have been using the Grolsch beer washers, and these are much more classy. Highly recommended

Better than previous solutions ...

I thought that the PRS strap buttons were safe until my guitar crashed to the floor!
So, I got some MusicMan strap locks which did hold on but because they stuck out so far from the PRS solid body, the added torque actually cracked the finish at the base of their attachment!
When I saw these (which cost less than the others!) I thought I'd give them a try.
They hold my straps and don't destroy my guitar's finish plus they also cover up the previous damage, nicely!
Now, I'm in the process of switching all 20 of my guitars to these locks.
Highly recommended!
Happy tunes!
Thanks StewMac!
