Work well , but...

Do what they're designed to do, but be aware that there will be significant color variation between the pins.

Make sure you check all the pins on one reamed hole before reaming six to one size. I had one pin come slightly thinner than the others. StewMac graciously sent more, but I could have helped them avoid the extra hassle.

Got a set of these for my mini-Taylor and loved them so well I ordered another set for my Yamaha.

Pins, pins, pins

I have several fairly expensive acoustic guitars. And I realized recently that all of them had plastic bridge pins. Fine guitars... cheap plastic pins. It seems that 4 or 5 grand doesn't get you decent pins. I started replacing them with nice pins from StewMac and behold! They not only look great but I swear the tone is better. On one Martin I used these sweet snakewood pins. Great look. Just beautiful. I got the bone pins for other the Martin. Ivoroid Galalith for the 12 string... oh yeah! And snakewood for my short scale guitar. Now, what to get for the Humingbird? Don't overlook this easy and tasteful way to help your guitar's tone. And take a moment (and a piece of 120 grit sandpaper) and sand a little bevel on the tip before installing as shown in "Trade Secrets". This is a very inexpensive and rewarding way to love your guitar.

Man i love these pins, they give off a sound i've wanted for some time. More sustain, more "earthy" tunes, and more loud :D
Also the shipping is super fast, so go stewmac!

Noticable difference from the stock plastic pins

On a whim I chose the snakewood pins over the others Stew-Mac offers and I couldn't be happier. I installed them in my Eastman E-10SS and instantly noticed more balance, sustain and loudness. There also seems to be a harmonic zing I hadn't heard before which my guitar playing brother verified hearing as well... Oh, they are also beautiful and look great with the rosewood bridge.

I replaced the stock pins on a masterbilt Aj500rens; ridding this thing of the plastic abominations! More better now.

The bridge pins are beautifully machined, a fair bit of colour variation.
