Waverly Ivoroid Bridge Pins

About This Item

Hand-turned, vintage style.
High quality, precisely machined with no mold lines.

All pins have a 5-degree taper. Slotted pins have a 0.070" (1.78mm) string slot. Oversized pins are thicker for worn bridge pin holes. Sold in packages of 6.

Jewelry for your guitarA vintage material is reborn
Our ivoroid bridge pins, endpins and strap buttons are made of Galalith, a dense and durable casein-based material that polishes beautifully. Popular in the early 20th century, Galalith is found today in collectible vintage jewelry. It cannot be molded; each pin is precisely machined and has none of the unsightly mold lines common to plastic pins.

Our ivoroid pins match our endpins and the knobs on Waverly guitar tuning machines.

Bridge Pins

I bought these to use on a J-45 build. Installed bridge today and will string up and play
in the white tomorrow. They look good and match the tuners.

Great vintage look and better tone than plastic.

Replaced the ABS pins on my Taylor with these to dress it up a bit. I did notice a difference in the clarity and articulation after installing these. They were a bit too big, but chucking them in a drill and sanding the tapers allowed a perfect fit! A fix that would hopefully bring a smile to Dan Erlewine's face.

Great Looking Pins Now how about an Ivoroid Saddle as well

Love the look and performance of these pins. Why not make saddles out of this attractive and cost effective material? I'd buy them in a heart beat.

I replaced a plastic bridge on a Gibson lg-0. I had to drill out the top used oversize pins instead of spending $70 for reamer

Maybe someday, these and the ebony pins will be offered with dots.

So many bridge pin holes on used guitars are uneven, the pins unable to seat firmly. Reaming the holes larger requires these pins.

Quality replacements

I needed some oversize pins to replace those on a project guitar. I accidentally reamed the holes for the bridge pins a little too much, so I was happy to find these. The material, galalith (a plastic made out of milk, of all things..) is cosmetically pleasing and seems durable. I turned the diameter of the pins down by chucking them into my drill press and using it as an ad-hoc lathe. It worked well, my guitar is back in action!

im jumping on the band wagon here

These are awesome for restorations. I installed a set on a guitar that is just ever slightly starting to "belly" from the stress on the plate, caused by ball ended strings held in place inadequately by old shriveled slotted bridge pins. These are just what was needed and the celluloid plastic "sounds" better than the ABS stuff because it is much lighter and more brittle -transfering vibration better while saving my top..thanks Waverly Ivoroid pins!

Ivoroid bridge pins--cool!

I bought these for a LG-2 copy to add authenticity to the look. The rounded heads look just right. Size and dimensions were just as listed and also very consistent, which has not always been the case from other sources I've used. Very happy with purchase.

Nice bridge pins for sane money

Very consistent sizing; exactly as shown on the drawing that Waverly shows on StewMac's site. I put these in a Martin, and I had to ream the pin holes slightly, which is fine. That way, I got consistent pin height across the bridge. They look nice too, but be aware that they are bright white, and that look may not appeal to you if you want a yellow-ish bone look. But, for what they cost, they are quite nice.
