About This Item

Our pins are precisely machined with a vintage 5-degree taper, and polished to accent the beauty of the genuine ebony.

Chopping the ends off bridge pins

If you're not careful, installing new strings can create a problem that throws you out of tune or damages your bridge pin holes. Elliot John-Conry of EJC Guitars shows us an easy fix.

Ebony slotted pins

These are very true to stated dimensions, good looking wood and consistent from pin to pin. All I could ask in a plain ebony pin. Very happy with purchase.

Typical Waverly Quality

I love these - and have many clients using these. My only disappointment is that the UNslotted are no longer available in OVERsized pins.

I'm just asking my customers (with bridges slotted and reamed for oversize pins) to use these and turn 'em around backwards - with the slots facing away from the string.

Nice but big

By

Most of the time we find that the smaller pins are just a tad too small, and these pins are just a tad too large. Of course you can ream the holes, but then you'd better buy two sets of these big pins, so you have spares.

Oversized Bridge Pins - a problem solver

By

Verified Buyer

My friend bought me his guitar for me to have a look - a nice Seagull Jumbo. The problem was that he lost a few bridge pins and didn't know what to do. When I looked at the guitar, I noticed that the bridge pins simply fell out of the holes - no friction whatsoever. Stock pins were the Tusq Presentation pins which are slightly undersized. I tried some traditional pins, but they fell out as well. Luckily, I found these Waverly oversized pins on Stew-Mac. They did the trick. Not sure why the holes were so enlarged - it's a mystery. But - thanks Stew-mac, you always have the right tool.

Took the edge off my Collings, a good thing

I have a new Collings D2H T and I felt I wanted a more woody sound. I replaced the stock bridge pins with these ebony ones and the guitar is basically perfect. I like the look, too.

Elegantly Simple

Love these and they fit well.
Hated having to pay almost as much for the shipping as for the bridge pins though. StewMac has to get better with shipping prices on small parts!!

Better than expected

This was my first Stew MAC purchase and not my last! Pins were very well made, high quality and well packed. They look great on my Martin D18V. Will post pictures eventually but they look exactly like the picture on the Stew website. Jet black, nice ebony.
