Impracticable

i bought this for my Gibson and Irish Bouzouki with both having pickups from LR Baggs. Thinking this would solve the Problem of not having enough space on the endpin for a leather strap...
ha ha what a joke! its even worse. I have six different guitar straps and not one of them fit, without unsrewing the thing and even then you have to turn the whole strap because the strap secure`s too tight. Actually theres even less room on it than the endpin from LR Baggs.
But one star because ist very well made.

DENIED. CS ISSUE. NOT A REVIEW.

Great idea, works like a charm

If you have ever had a guitar drop of the end pin onto the floor, you will understand why these are important if you have a pickup jack on the back of your guitar. Beautifully made, and they really hold the strap securely.

It's an OK solution but...

Cons:
1. It is a tad expensive but necessary if you are going to attach your strap securely.
2. The strap's opening will still need to be slightly enlarged to fit over this end pin.
3. For most leather strap ends, there will NOT be enough space left for the Lokstrap System (Item # 0257) to be installed.
4. If you are going to use the D'Addario Planet Waves CinchFit Acoustic Jack Lock to attach your strap, do NOT order this. Keep the OEM end pin assembly as it fits better.

Pros:
1. Nicely machined item.
2. Provides a better attachment fitting for the guitar strap.

NOTE: Be sure to check your threads for SAE or metric sizing!

This worked well on my Larrivee

By

I treasure my Larrivee dreadnought, and I worry about the strap coming off. This "acoustic strap secure" solved the problem nicely. With the addition of a strap-lock at the other end, I will feel much more secure playing the Larrivee on stage.

Required, but expensive

Once you've lost the end jack strap nut, this was the ONLY one I could find. Expensive, but necessary.
