Gotoh In-Tune Compensated Saddles For Tele

About This Item

They look original, but they play in tune!
The problem with vintage Tele® saddles is that they weren't designed for accurate intonation. These Gotoh replacements provide precise tuning while keeping the vintage look.

Built-in compensation
Unique grooves molded into these saddles move each string's point of contact for more exact intonation than traditional barrel saddles.

Choose brass for traditional Tele twang or titanium for rich harmonic overtones and long sustain.

Gotoh's In-Tune saddles fit any vintage-style Tele bridge. Each saddle is reversible and can be used in any position.

Diameter: 0.310" (7.87mm)
String Spread: 2-1/8" (53.98mm)

Set of 3 includes steel intonation screws and springs.

So Far, So Good!

I've had these new bridge saddles on my Custom Shop Tele for a couple weeks now. I had the stock saddles, which kept giving me intonation problems. But these were recommended to me by a luthier friend of mine, who had put these same saddles on his Tele for the same reasons. The first thing I noticed about these saddles even before purchasing was the groove that's notched out for the strings. Such a good idea, makes me wonder why that wasn't already a standard feature on Telecaster saddles. Anyways, I've had a few practices and a couple gigs with these new saddles are doing great at keeping me in tune and the intonation in check! With the stock saddles, I would've started having problems after the first few practices. But these are holding things steady!

These seem to be really well made. I haven't installed them on my Tele yet so I can't tell how well they will intonate.

Liked them so much the first time, I bought them again. First time I replaced the three Fender steel saddle. This time I replaced the six individual steel saddles with three brass saddles

Great Product and Great Upgrade

By

i installed this on my Baja Tele today and after a bit of adjusting, including lowering the strings for a better overall action, everything came out perfectly. The saddles were adjusted to exactly match the radius of the neck, the sound was the same as the old brass saddles, and the intonation was perfect. These are a great product and do exactly what they are designed to do. You need a basic understanding of the mechanics of setting up a guitar along with some basic guitar set-up tools, but if you have those, you will not be disappointed with this product. A great upgrade to an already excellent guitar.

Any compensation saddles set in stone will never be precise. That being said it seems that these saddles are giving me more sustain and the notes seem more focused. Note, the height of the saddles also has an effect on the length of the intonated string. So if you're having trouble with intonation try raising and or lowering the saddles. It changes the length. You might get what you're looking for. With a little tweaking, you should be happy with them.

Perfect Intonation aquired

Maybe I was just lucky here. but when I installed these on my Baja Tele the initial intonation was almost perfect. I took a picture of the original bridge configuration and used that to establish string length. After setting string height to match the fingerboard I tuned the guitar back to pitch. I almost fell over when I first checked the intonation and found it close to perfect clear across the neck. Since I was replacing brass with brass there is no tonal difference. However, the Gotohs
have a little more mass to them so I actually picked up a little sustain on a guitar that already heavy with it. I would readily recommend these saddles.

Worked like a champ!

I like these saddles because they're compensated AND they don't look all cock-eyed in the bridge. I know, that's purely aesthetic but I'm a bit OCD about stuff like that. They did the trick and my tele is much better intonated.

Installed these on a 58 blonde telecaster and the tone was crisp and clear as a bell! Absolutely stunning tone, no piercing highs but the treble is still there! Intonation was easy and dead nuts on! Perfect string spacing! I highly recommend these!
