We offer pickup springs for virtually any guitar or bass. Sold in packages of 8.
Always need them, because you always loose the stupid things trying to hook up pup ring.
Its just a spring but before you go taking your ink pen apart consider these springs . The tapered spiral is a correctly engineered factor . Consider placing cardboard or light thin foam board under the pickup so you can still dial in the pickup height up or down and the bonus is a firm cushion bottom will keep the pickups from wobbling , tilting on an angle or rattling about .
Bought these to replace the springs in my Gibson SG humbuckers. We're a perfect match.
I bought the longer ones b/c they were marginally more than the short ones. They were so long for my application (fully compressed at my pickup height), I ended up cutting one in half and using two halves per pickup!
Gibson classic 57's springs are weak and would let the pickup move. New Springs fixed that.
Although the springs are good parts, I find them to be excessive in length. This causes them to twist or "snake" making the adjusting screw cock.
Like the springs better than the hose that came with the Pups
These were purchased with pickup screws and plastic rings to replace the foreign pickups on a PRS SE with American pickups. They fit perfectly. I didn't realize that Korean made guitars used a different size ring, diameter screw, and I replaced the springs just to be sure. If you have a foreign guitar, this is the easiest, least expensive way to complete a clean pickup mod. The total cost of the parts is much less than anywhere else I could find.
I needed some additional pickup height screws and springs for installing Seymour Duncan SH-1/59 neck and bridge pickups on my Epiphone Dot guitar. The springs on the Epiphone pickups didn't fit. Ordered these from Stewmac and they fit perfectly. I couldn't be happier.
I got the shorter ones and they worked great. Didn't bind when I needed to raise the pickup.
