Schaller Non-Tremolo Roller Bridge

About This Item

A highly adjustable non-trem Strat inspired bridge that doesn't require through body stringing or string grommets.

Low-friction roller saddles adjust for intonation and height, and for string spacings from 2" to 2-3/16" (50.80mm to 55.56mm). A cam screw locks the saddles to the grooved baseplate. The strings mount at the rear of the bridge. Screws included.

The saddles and the 2-13/16" x 1-15/16" (71.44mm x 49.21mm) baseplate are brass. A removable 1/8" (3.00mm) spacer is included for raising the baseplate height if needed. Use a .050" allen wrench to adjust the saddle heights from 3/8" to 17/32" (9.53mm to 13.49mm) from the guitar body (E string positions).

Schaller roller bridge

These are great bridges. I installed one on an old P-Bass. I like it so much I bought one for a Strat project. You'll need to install a block of wood where the stock Strat tremolo was.

Perfect stratocaster hardtail bridge

I ordered this bridge because of the advertised adjustability of the string spacing. The mounting with only three screws was not difficult, although I did have to sand the underside of the bridge at the mounting holes because some small burrs were present. It then sat flat against the body with no edge gaps. I did not have to use the spacer that is provided, but it fit perfectly and would probably be needed for some installations. I adjusted the string spacing to be slightly narrower than standard. Adjusting for intonation was easy to get dead-on, but would have been much better if the screws provided were phillips head instead of straight. The cam screw locks everything into place when you're done. This is a great looking bridge and easy on the palm. I'll definitely use it again on my next hardtail.

Excellent purchase

You may think this is crazy, but I purchased this bridge to upgrade a Kima SE-12 guitar that I purchased from a thrift store for 40 bucks. I was so impressed with it that I purchased a zero-glide nut system. I know, it's silly, right? This little guy rocks, has sweet sound and I am actually contemplating going high end on a humbucker system. I think this bridge is stellar.

A Very Precise Bridge For Your Money

You can't go wrong with this bridge. I was shocked at the difference in sustain from the old cheap bridge I replaced it with. Schaller makes precisions stuff and this bridge is no exception. My 2000 Kramer fixed bridge Pacer with Schaller tuning keys and this bridge was a worthwhile investment.

Good product as expected

I needed this bridge to work with a hipshot b and g bender system, it all fit into place very nicely. I do wish it still had a string thru body option though. The hipshot leaves very little room to work with behind the bridge. Sorry for the poor photo it is all I have.

The only bridge I use on my custom builds, one fine built bridge, and the 3 way adjustable set up is kick butt !!!!

A Very Flexible Bridge

By

This works very well for my guitar.
A) The bridge shim eliminated the need for a neck shim.
B) The string spacing control allowed me to optimally align the string with pole pieces and the wide neck I use.
C) The front to back adjustment range is greater than for Fender style hardtail bridges, so I could set the front to be aligned with the position for an 8 E string and there is range to support 8 through 13s.

It's a nice little hunk of metal with a little haft to it. Screws, springs, and saddles are well crafted. It's nice that you can adjust the rollers right and left to space the strings right where you want them on the neck. Rollers may not be absolutely necessary but it can only help ! I also like the low profile and rounded edge, easy to rest your picking hand on.
