Fits great, looks amazing

I bought this to replace the stock bridge on my Squier Tele Classic Vibe 50s because I wanted to upgrade from 3 saddles to 6. This bridge is hefty and solid, has a beautiful chrome finish, and fits perfectly (where Fender bridges do not necessarily fit Squires).

It's expensive, but I think it was worth the money.

This bridge is made very well. It offers far more adjustment than the older style.

This Gotoh replacement Telecaster Bridge may not have that "Vintage" look but who cares? It's 2019 and to me proper intonation, increased sustained, and increased tone plus a way way more comfortable bridge for palm muting. I installed this bridge on my Fender Telecaster and now my Tele sounds so much better. Highly recommended.

Replacement Player Tele/ Few items to note

By

Verified Buyer

I purchase this to replace a bridge on a used MIM Player Telecaster I bought in June of 2019. I don't usually write reviews but thought may be someone can benefit from my experience. First, positive items is that all the holes matched up and fit with pick guard. The bridge plate is also slightly thicker than the stock bridge.
I had purchased the bridge with hopes of gaining a slight increase in space between the fret board edge and strings. The difference was negligible enough that I did not pursue any changes to nut. I would not recommend purchasing as solution for this on a Player Telecaster.
Next, even though the plate was thicker, the saddles seemed lighter than the stock saddles. The item that surprised me was the mounting screws seemed very cheap. As seen mentioned in other reviews, they plating came off very easily and the metal seemed softer on screw head. Softer than what I am used too. Also as seen mentioned, the screws did not seem to seat as flush with the plate as the stock mounting screws. May want to reuse stock screws if mounting this bridge.
Last item: I read about the adjustment screws varying in length and being rough. I thought they can't be that bad. While I didn't have any too short, they did vary in length. Most were over sized in length and my had does catch on them. I will be filing them down. Overall, IMHO the stock fender bridge is better quality. Bridge functions fine and is ok, it just didn't fix what I had bought it for.

It's a winner for sure.

Great Intonation

By

Couldn’t get stock bridge to intonate. The Gotoh fixed that problem. Only negative thing I could say is that I wish I could mount the ashtray on it. BUT, I knew when I ordered it that it wouldn’t. Correct intonation was more important to me

just one tiny thing

I bought this bridge for a project guitar. It is just what I wanted. The one tiny thing was that one height adjustment screw was only half as long as all the others...fortunately I have a replacement.

I recently ordered various parts for a Tele kit I'm building and just want to report on how StewMac consistently provides a great experience. You offer a wide array of high quality components, descriptions are good, videos are very useful, ordering is easy, shipping is incredibly fast. I never have to second-guess what I bought or complain about or return anything. Hats off. I'm a customer for life.

Excellent bridge for modern Telecaster !

By

Verified Buyer

I've been using this Gotoh modern Telecaster bridge on my guitars for over twenty years.
This bridge fits American sized Telecasters perfectly. I have had problems with some imports.
Not all. Just the bad ones! On bodies supplied by Stewmac, or Clearforks, or Warmoth, Fender,
Etc. Perfect ! The plating on this bridge is excellent. Also the bridge and saddles are made of
brass. Nice, thick, non-magnetic, brass. I have found that Gold plating, (especially on imports)
Rubs off very quickly. I have Teles that I built 20 years ago, used this bridge, and the plating is
still almost perfect. Good durable bridge. JW

Amazing results

By

Verified Buyer

Put a hot mini humbucker in my offset Tele and could not get the pickup height adjusted without microphonic issues. The bridge was the vintage stamped steel type that worked great with the stock single coil. Had a notion that a non ferrous bridge might help and I wanted a bit more mass in the bridge. I installed the Gotoh bridge and was stunned at the results. The pickup is now happy at any height and the bridge added warmth to the overall sound of the guitar. This was the best upgrade I could do. Hardware is beautifully made, installed perfect. StewMac had it in my hands in 2 days flat. 5 thumbs up..
