The bridge works great on my vintage Kent guitar. Stew Mac is the best!

Works Great

I bought this to give a little more bite to my Gibson ES-125 TC, which had a wooden saddle. It did the trick, giving the guitar much more attack and a clearer overall sound. It does lean the tone in the direction of an acoustic guitar, which can be expected because of the bone saddle, which is intonated correctly. If you want a more electric tone, go with a tune-o-matic. It's all a matter of personal taste.

I used this on a 1960's Truetone archtop guiitar. Worked great.

Sounds good; requires some work and tools to install properly.

I got this to replace the all-wood bridge on my Ibanez AFJ91. Just curious what a different bridge would sound like. The new bridge works fine, I have nothing negative to say about it, but I honestly can't tell the difference.

Just FYI, according to my radius gauges, this bridge's radius is closer to 12", not 13". Also, it says maximum string spread is 59mm, but I don't see room for more than 57mm. It was a bit longer than the one I was replacing, and since the curve on the bottom side was much more than the guitar's top, I cut off about .3" from each end (matching the original bridge) in order to reduce the amount of sanding I had to do.

To install this, I also bought a bunch of tools: Gauged nut slotting files set of 6, understring radius gauges set of 9, abrasive cord set of 4, string spacing rule, and archtop bridge fitting jig. So $175 of tools to install a $24 bridge.

I was glad I had the jig to get a good fit to the top. The bridge comes with quite a bit of curve to it, and I had to sand off a lot of material.

I was looking for a compensation replacement for a rosewood bridge

The item worked great a little wider than my old bridge, but actually that seemed to help transfer the sound. After installing it I did find a clearer sound coming from my guitar and the intonation was excellent. Good buy from my point. The reason I gave it four starts is the saddle needed a cleaning up of sharp edges on the bone, but the clean up was minimum. I would definitely buy this product again for a replacement bridge.

The bridge fit perfectly on my archtop guitar and allowed the proper adjustment on string height.

I bought it to replace the stock rosewood bridge on an Epiphone Joe Pass archtop. Perfect match up & sweet tone. More definition than a tune-o-matic Couldn't be happier.

Restored a 1953 Kay changing from the old wood saddle and bridge to the bone was amazing.
