Grover Vintage (135 Series) 3+3 Tuners

About This Item

Vintage appearance plus modern cast baseplates, keystone plastic knobs and 14:1 gear ratio. For 3-left/3-right pegheads.

Threaded hex bushings, washers and screws included. 10mm (13/32")-diameter pegholes required. Set of 6.

Installation Tips

Mounting screws: Pilot holes required. Installing delicate screws into hard wood requires great care and accuracy. We highly recommend the #1711 Depth-stop Drill Bit (No.50 bit) for the pilot hole before installing these screws. Lubricate the screw threads with cutting lubricant (also wax or a bar of soap) to reduce friction and help them thread properly.

Great Gibson vintage tuners

By

Verified Buyer

Rebuilding an old Les Paul, found these to be great replacements at a reasonable price. Cannot attest to the long term reliability because I have only had them for a short time but hey! They are Grover so they should work great for a long time. They installed easily and fit the existing holes even down to the screws to hold them in. Lined up perfectly.

bought these to upgrade an Epiphone project that i am working on, i like the looks of these over the Grover rotomatics. Easy upgrade with just some basic drilling for the seconds set of screws.

I have a 1956 Gretsch 6120 bought used in 1958... These new Grover tuners revived the
old work-horse for years to come providing the best sound and tuning stability that cannot
be achieved by any other guitar brand...

Just what I needed

Somebody had installed barrel type tuners on theJ45 Gibson I bought second hand about 20 years ago. This left screw holes showing an we’re obviously wrong for the model. I have been looking to replace them for some time but could find none that would cover the marks left by the washers on the face of the headstock. Finally found these that worked perfectly. Dropped right in and used the screw holes of the originals while covering the screw holes of the bad replacements. Great looking and performing machines. Very happy with them!

Perfect fit.

I have a Gibson J-200 that is 32 years old. The big E tuner wore out. Gibson wanted about $100 (with shipping) for the set of 6 new tuners. StewMac had a MUCH better deal. The exact same tuners but without the Gibson name but instead had the Grover name. Same tuner. Fit right in and I am back in business. Thank you StewMac. You guys were great as well as your schematic of the tuner. That really made it easy.

These fit right into my ‘02 Gibson faded SG (moon inlays). They look great, feel solid and so far have been super stable.

Replaced the robotic tuners on a 2014 Gibson SG. These work great and are lighter than the previous tuners.

I replaced a set of Gibson GForce tuners with Vintage Grover 135N. Fitted perfectly and look better than the originals (similar tulip tuning key). The wait for delivery was a bit of a pain because I suspected that they were held up in customs but could get no relevant info of Fedex. Anyway including the customs charges they were still £20 cheaper than the best deal over here so I'm quite pleased. Just wish there was a way of getting delivery directly without the Royal Mail handling charge of £8 (I'm ok with the import tax/VAT).
