Grover Roto-Grip Locking Rotomatic (502 Series) 3+3 Tuners

About This Item

Fast string changes and non-slip tuning! Rear thumbscrew locks the string for non-slip tuning and fast string changes. For 3-left/3-right pegheads.

Traditional Rotomatics® with a twist! Simply wind the string once, tighten knob, and tune to pitch! You'll need fewer string wraps, change strings faster, and your tremolo will have more accurate return-to-pitch.

For 3-left/3-right pegheads only. For 6-in-line pegheads, see Grover Roto-Grip Mini Locking Guitar Machines.

Full-size Roto-Grip tuners for 3-left/3-right pegheads feature:
• 18:1 gear ratio for precise tuning
• Cast gear housings with no-hassle lifetime sealed lubrication
• Traditional large Rotomatic removable metal knobs

Mounting screws and threaded hex peghead bushings with washers are included.
10mm-diameter (13/32") pegholes required.

Installation Tips

Mounting screws: Pilot holes required. Installing delicate screws into hard wood requires great care and accuracy. We highly recommend the #1712 Depth-stop Drill Bit (5/64" bit) for the pilot hole before installing these screws. Lubricate the screw threads with cutting lubricant (also wax or a bar of soap) to reduce friction and help them thread properly.

Locking Tuners

By

They were so easy to install . Basically they fit right in without any modifications to my headstock. and seeing that I have the Bigsby vibrato, this is going to make changing my strings so much easier. I wish I had a photo to share but I don't. Thank you so much Stew mac.

Grover Roto-Grip Locking Rotomatic (502 Series) 3+3 Tuners

Replaced the G-Force system on my Gibson SG with these tuners. It turned a nice guitar with a whacky tuning system into a great guitar. They look and feel just like the keys on my other Gibsons and increased the value of the guitar by at least enough to cover the cost. The locking feature is nice for string changing and they hold tune very well. Much better than the G-Force in both of those circumstances.

I put a set of these tuners on my Les Paul Custom and what a difference these tuners make! Set and forget. 18:1 ratio is sweet. Well worth the investment. You can't go wrong with Grover.

Perfect for high end epiphone Joe Bonamassa 355

My hope was that these would be a drop in replacement for the epiphone Joe Bonamassa 355. They worked perfectly. I used the original screw and ferrule. They went in quickly and work perfectly. With these on and the string spoiler on the vibrato string changes are insanely quick. Same mass as originals so i don’t feel any real difference. Perfect substitute

Good tuners for Epiphone Sheraton.

I replaced the tuners on my Epiphone Sheraton with the Grover Locking 502 series tuners. It's a lot easier to change strings and tuning is more stable when I bend strings. I did have to slightly enlarge the screw holes by about 1/32" to make them fit, but that is barely visible. Don't try to drive the screws in without making that change or you will either break the screw, or be unable to properly seat the tuners in the headstock.

Great Tuners

I replaced the stock tuners from my 1974 Takamine, which had a rattle. What a difference. Very smooth tuning and stays in tune. The locking feature is a nice thing to have, makes changes strings a little bit faster.
