StewMac Deadblow Neck Rest

About This Item

Shock-absorbing support
Like a sandbag, our Deadblow Neck Rest is dense but flexible. It conforms to fit any instrument on your bench, and solidly absorbs hammer blows during fretwork.

Everything from string changes to repairs
Fold it in half for large-body acoustics, and lay it flat to fit small instruments. Our thanks to guitar repairman Gene Imbody for this smart, versatile design.

"I've been using this design for a few years now. Its flexibility makes this my go-to rest."
—Erick Coleman, guitar repairman and StewMac tech advisor

Size: 12" x 6" (305mm x 152mm)

Weight: 4 pounds (1.81kg)

Durable canvas filled with shock-absorbing pellets.

Deadblow Neck Rest is also available as a set with the StewMac Guitar Bench Pad: a soft, rugged mat for repairs and setup. Safe for instrument finishes.

Perfection

By

I have had several neck rests. I always felt they were off somehow. Too low, too high, not soft enough, etc.
This is absolutely the perfect "tool" for neck rest purposes.

I thought it was expensive and put off buying it for a while but now I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Perfect Addition to my Workbench!

Such a simple item that I've tried to emulate it with other household object but finally broke down and ordered the real deal. Wish I had done it sooner! No matter what I am working on- guitar, banjo, mando... this neck rest fits and holds the instrument in place.

Excellent Multi-purpose Neck Rest

Was looking for something that would conform to the neck for fretwork and this has become my go to neck rest for just about everything. Planning to try in the drill press installing frets soon. Good stuff. Thanks!

Really nice!

I’m getting so much use out of this thing and wish I got it years ago.

Works as a fretting station, regular neck cradle, and a riser for when I need to lift a body from a messy bench to prevent any damage.

This doesn't actually look very good but you can see how perfectly it works once you have it. rock solid neck resting device for your bench. I really like it

Could be better !

The sacks that hold the beads or what ever is packed inside are over filled (filled to the MAX...STUFFED) so if you would like a little indentation to cradle your guitar neck it's not going to happen ! The bags are so full it almost won't fold in the middle. Room for improvement !
