Cradle Banjo Strap

I've never had a good Banjo strap - the traditional ones that clip on to the banjo are uncomfortable and shift the instrument off balance to the side. I bought the cradle Banjo strap from StewMac and am I glad I did! Not only is this strap super comfortable but my banjo is nicely in balance as I play, thanks to the clever wrap around design of this strap.

I'm new to the banjo world and this is my first strap. The cradle strap seems to offer the best protection to the instrument and this one was easy to install and adjust. The leather is soft enough to leave on and packs well in my Gator case. This strap was recommended by an experienced picker and I would recommend it as well.

I've had this strap for about six months, and love it. Until I saw the picture of it installed, I had no idea it went around the banjo like that. I'm going to have to reinstall it! I always wondered why it was built the way it was. I'll be darned!

This strap is made of good leather. It's thick enough to support a heavy banjo, yet the leather is soft. For the price I expected less. If any one makes a better strap I probably can't afford it. :-)
