After winding my first P-90, I put my adjustable polepiece screws in the bobbin. I wanted to see if this baseplate would fit over them, and they didn't. I needed to do about 10 minutes worth of careful drilling to ensure the screws would go through. It was not a drop-in like I was hoping. The result is something that doesn't look as professional as I hoped. On the bright side, this doesn't show on the guitar being on the bottom, but for a customer putting this pickup in his 1956 TV Les Paul, I'd like to give him something worthy of dropping in. Now I'm worried the mounting screws may need to be drilled out.. but I don't have a P90 guitar to test it. We will see.
