Golden Age Humbuckers

I upgraded my Epiphone 60s SG reissue with Stewart*Mac Golden Age Humbuckers and a Gibson BurstBucker for the middle pickup along with a JPLP wiring kit. The push pull pot activates the middle pickup and puts it in phase with the bridge and neck.For example, position one (middle & bridge) position two (all three pickups) and position three (middle & neck) These pickups have a great crystal clear vintage sound with excellent tone control. I also installed StewMac speed knobs to give the guitar that added vintage look. This guitar is most definitely in the professional league for sure!

After been a DiMarzio customer for more than 15 years I decided to give this pick up a try for one of my student guitars. I was surprisingly blown away with the quality of the pick up and the sound... Dimarzio and Seymour Duncan got nothing on the Golden Age. I'm about to order some more to replace pick ups in some of my guitars couldn't been happier with this purchase!!!!

Recently got he Parson Street set with alnico 5's. Although the "relic'd" finish adds a nice touch, I really think the 6 string marks across each one is not needed. It gives the impression more of an abused instrument rather than an aged one. Other than that they are great.

Used a set of exposed coil zebera's on my kit built Les Paul as an upgrade. Wired them with premium wiring kit with Emmerson PIO caps.
Great sound and response.

I used these to replace weak, muddy pickups in a NJ Series BC Rich. I added the JPLP wiring kit. These pickups are outstanding! Great clarity, vintage sound, and with coil taps, very flexible tones.

I bought these pickups in 2008. They were just waiting for a project guitar to happen by. I bought a 1990 Gibson Les Paul Standard that had been refinished natural. It had a HUGE club neck but the sound was truly awful, screechy, twangy, just horrible! I opened her up and found one Gibson pickup and one unknown pickup. they were soon flying towards the bin and in went the Stew-Macs. 5405 Bridge, 5400 Neck. The transformation was incredible! straight into my valve amp, Guitar-Lead-Amp-Me! The Stew-Macs were perfectly balanced, very W A R M and just superbly musical. They lifted my cheesegrater sounding Les Paul straight back into the professional league, where it should always have been. Sweet doesn't even get close. Then I sold it, AAAAARRRGGGHH!!! I miss that guitar and its 2 new helpers so much, yeah even that HUGE club neck! Those little bobbins certainly did the trick.

I recently upgraded My Epiphone Les Paul Standard using The Golden Age Humbuckers. What a difference in the quality of tone they bring. i encourage anyone to do the same. Stew Mac brought her back from the dead!

I bought these for a guitar that plays great, but could just never cut through a mix. Wow, what a difference. These pickups have clarity and brightness, without being biting; and warmth and body, without being boomy. The mud is gone, and I'm very pleased.

The goldenage humbuckers are great! Better than I expected. Fantastic tone and output. Ic build guitars and these will be put in all them

great tone and value for money, my only complaint is the nickel covers aren't the best quality, but other than that excellent tone could splits well, good job stewmac
