Hard to Mix

I found the black pigment a bit difficult to properly mix to a uniform consistency just by stirring. Works fine once mixed but will be very streaky otherwise.

went on easy

Used this with some nitro in an air brush to do a skull on my tele build. Went well considering it was my first paint job.

I wouldn't have believed it

I had some lacquer dyes already- but I didn't have white- just a few drops and you can get any hue- sharp! Just the white alone is a big plus to shooting projects- I think it will last me for years. Great product.

Great lacquer tint.

This product is great for tinting lacquer. It mixes very well, and applies smoothly.

Lacquer pigment

Good Stuff. I enjoy having the freedom of being able to mix my own custom colors.

Excellent Results

I can only comment on the white pigment, the only one I've tried so far, which I used to do a Mary Kaye blonde finish on a swamp ash tele. I was very happy with the results & probably have enough pigment left to do 10+ MK finishes. I also bought a StewMac finishing video featuring Dan & Don which was very helpful & informative. Mk blondes are hard to photograph, especially with a cheap camera.

Works very well.

I've used the pigment in two ways:

I used a mixture of red and blue to create a maroon for a Strat refinish I was doing. I just mixed the pigments right into the lacquer. Colors mixed great and covered very well. A little goes a long way. As an aside, the red by itself is a "pinkish" red, so if you're looking to create a darker red, you will need something to mix in to darken it a bit.

I also used the white to "touch up" a problem in the binding on one of my builds. Binding was chipped, and I did some drop fills. The repair is not visible in the finished guitar.

Great colors

I love these pigments because they are so concentrated. A little goes a long way. I mix this into Seagrave Clear and never have a problem with coverage. Good stout brilliant colors.

Very Good

You don't have to use a whole lot of this stuff man. It is so concentrated that a little goes a long way.
