Waverly Banjo Tuning Pegs

and well worth it - so easy to tune and still be able to enjoy the hide head on a very old, probably Sears or Montgomery Ward - added some weight to the peg head, but again - it's worth it

I have had the Waverly pegs on my Gibson Banjo ever since I got the instrument and had trouble free service for many years until I started having trouble with the pegs slipping. If I tightened the tension screw enough to prevent slipping the pegs were almost impossible to move. I contacted Stew Mac and one of their knowledgeable reps told me the pegs were lifetime warranty if indeed they were original Waverly . To make a long story short I received excellent service on the warranty and put my old banjer back in top shape! I replaced the original Schaller 5th string peg with a Waverly Planetary peg and that made all the difference in the world!!
I can truthfulls say that the Waverly pegs are the absolute best I have tried or used and they come highly recommended from me!

These tuning pegs are perfect,smooth and accurate, they look great on my banjos. the construction allow to install different buttons without any modifications. I recommend them to all banjo players who want precision and great look at the same time.

I bought a set of Waverlys to replace the worn-out friction pegs on a crappy old open-back banjo and was immediately impressed with the good looks, smooth mechanism and ease of tuning. Later I purchased two more sets from StewMac for banjos I'm making from scratch. Unfortunately the tiny mounting pin which keeps the tuner from rotating in the peghead was missing from one tuner - a manufacturing defect. StewMac have replaced the tuner at no cost to me, including air freight. How good is that??

These are very sweet. They're installed on an Epiphone (Chinese) MB 250. The banjo itself is quite nice but like offshore guitars, lacking in good hardware. These made a real difference in intonation and holding power. Great product.
