It's ready for final shaping, sanding and finishing.
See details below
Specifications: This is a high quality one-piece neck with matching peghead "ears." You'll save time and you won't need to tool up for complicated machine work: the heel profile and peghead handstop are shaped, and the upper surfaces are sanded flat. Standard 3/8" (10mm)-diameter pegholes are drilled. A 7/32" x 7/16" (5.56mm x 11.11mm) slot has been cut to fit our 18" Hot Rod Truss Rod. Width at the nut is 1-3/16" (30.16mm). The 5th string peghole is not drilled, and the fingerboard and peghead veneer are not included.
The neck heel is machined to fit our Five-Star bluegrass banjo pot, or similar 11" (279.40mm)-diameter Mastertone-style banjo rim with one-piece resonator flange. Please note that this neck heel shape will not fit a Gibson® "tube and plate" rim, nor a straight-sided rim such as our Old-Time banjo pot.
Easy finishing options ColorTone Aerosol Guitar Lacquer is an economical way for the beginner to apply a finish without elaborate setup or equipment. Only a few cans are needed to completely finish a neck. Or try brush-on application with Brushing Varnish.
