4-String Banjo Bridge

The sound that this bridge sends to the resonator and returns is outstanding.

I took a chance on this bridge to replace an old one on a tenor banjo, even though the old one was 1/2" and not 5/8". When I put it in place, sure enough, it was too high. So I thinned down the top ebony, filed in some new string grooves, took a little off the bottom of the bridge, and it worked great. I wish Stewmac had 1/2" height bridges, but if you can't find one elsewhere, there is enough wood on these bridges to adjust height some by removing wood.
