The Mother of Pearl and Abalone inlay pieces from Stew-Mac are very nicely cut and are nice looking on the fret boards of all my guitars. I even have some on the bridges of some of my guitars. I love-em! I think my guitars that have them, even sound better with them and look better too!

The Abalone diamonds are unimpressive laid out on your work bench, but after they are inlaid, wow! They have a really nice warm look mother of pearl fret markers can't touch.
Consistent size and thickness, and good quality shell pieces. My sets have had stunning colours.
